Best WLM Reviews

$37 for a slab of ribs that appeared to be boiled OR cooked in some way other than a pit. Ribs had no taste and the sauce didn't help. And they were horribly tough. Genuine rib places will take out a slab of ribs and cut it up in front of the customer. Not this place. They pull out some rib bones from God knows where and start putting them in the container. Another thing is that a slab of ribs comes with long ends and short ends, but I got no short ends. Just a bunch of thick long ends. They must be saving the short ends for some other purpose. They ripped me off for $37, but they won't get my business again. They must be happy with the one shot customer. Threw most of them in the trash. The food also must have been bad since I have been in the bathroom 4 times today. Surprised they are still in business with all these negative reviews. We miss The Rib Crib in Philly. They knew how to prepare ribs.
I’m giving two stars for the staff’s friendly demeanor. Other than that, this place is a hard pass for me. I ordered the fried jumbo shrimp $30 and a crab cake platter for $22 (comes with two sides) the prices are kind of on the higher end, but I don’t mind paying for good food, BUT good food this was NOT. Both the shrimp and crab cake had more breading than actual shrimp and crab meat and once you got to the meat of each after ALL THAT BREADING - there’s literally no flavor to the food. I was wishing, hoping and praying that this would be good, but it wasn’t and im highly disappointed ☹️
I has such high hopes for this place. The staff were very friendly when I went in. There was a bit if a wait but I didn't mind since I was getting fresh food...so I thought. My entire meal was inedible. I ordered shrimp and whiting and French fries and an order of chicken wings. My wings were soggy and under cooked. The fries were soggy and under cooked. How can you mess up a French fries? Shrimp were old and overcooked with too much breading. The fish was the worse part of the meal it had a weird coating on it and was so greasy and over seasoned. Fried whiting is one of the easiest things to prepare. They really missed the mark with this. Their prices are reasonable but for what I received it was a complete waste of money since we couldn't eat the food.
I went to Big Daddy’s to get seafood. I ordered an Alaskan Snow Combo that comes with a 1/2 lb of Shrimp, potatoes corn, and broccoli ($41) with an additional order of Mussels (menu said $13 was charged $15). So with tax I end up paying $59 and some change. When I asked about the $2 difference was told “it must be a typo.” Ok. Wait was not long for seafood platters; standard 20-25 mins. When I arrived home, I opened my combo and realized they forgot the shrimp. I immediately called and spoke with Daniella, who was very apologetic and accommodating which was totally awesome! Food was seasoned well, my only gripe would be the amount of broccoli I was given. It was more like the end of a bag of frozen broccoli than actual whole broccoli crowns. Nonetheless, I would give this place a 6/10.
The service very nice. They should have me barbecue the ribs. The ribs had a tough top layer as if they were boiled then put on the grill. The barbecue sauce is thin. The Mac and cheese was great. The blacked peas were ok. I won't be going back. It took them a long time for my order, and it wasn't freshly cooked.
The place should be called the
"Mac and Cheese Ranch"
The food here is horrible ????. Ordered Rib dinner with Macaroni and cheese and Cabbage the only thing that taste ok was the Cabbage and that wasn't good. They never don't ever have to worry about a return visit from me. The restaurant it self needs to be torn down what a mess. Dueces yall close your joint down serving tough ribs they sure didn't fall off the bone. Yuk.
Fresh seafood is fine, prices are fair. Their crabcakes are pretty good, pricey, but it's all crab meat.
We're they failed miserably in my book is the gumbo. It's 95% imitation crab meat, and it shows. You get the occasional cut shell peice of snow crab, but I'm sure that's just for "authenticity". Not spicy at all so good for people who don't like spice. All In all, I'll continue coming for the fresh/ raw seafood. Can't get blue claws anywhere.
Great seafood and grill restaurant food freshly made to order. The staff is friendly and the bathrooms are clean family-friendly atmosphere no complaints here highly recommend
