Absolutely delicious! We unfortunately do not have Big Boys around us any more, so we took a detour on our way to the Wharton to try this one! Super delicious and the server was a sweetheart!
Since this was a rare occasion, I went for the Big Boy and a side of pancakes and a chocolate milkshake - literally a dream. Delicious, quick and hit the spot!
My granddaughter and I have been going to Big Boy in Mason every Tuesday (kids eat free on Tuesdays). The staff are excellent, always friendly. Everything is clean. Lots of choices on the kids menu. The pancakes are excellent. I usually get the salad bar. It's good with lots of variety. I would get the soup also, but there are no vegetarian choices. (Note, they told me there is chicken broth in the tomato soup. They actually went above and beyond to get that information for me. I really appreciated that.). I've had the veggie omelette and love the big pieces of peppers in it. The kids get a free toy with their meal. Not sure if this is only on Tuesday or all the time. We've had a good experience every time we've been there.
I love coming in to the Mason Big Boy for a quick meal. Staff is always welcoming and treats you better than family. The hostess is super kind and helpful. Their food is always what I expect. (The new chicken wrap is great!) plus, they play great music from a few generations ago making the place feel like a diner I remember as a kid growing up on the 80’s. Keep it up Big Boy!
My daughter's favorite restaurant is Big Boy. And could eat here every weekend if she could. Everyone went above and beyond for her and were all sweet as pie. Kind and just amazing. Even had a gift for her and her friend! If I could give 10 stars I would! I can't thank everyone enough! I will always remember this ❤️
The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, one of the only places in the Greater Lansing area to STILL hold a Weekend Breakfast/Brunch Buffet (and quite affordable at $15.99, from 8am-2pm). We love coming here on weekends. Also, Big Boy's Famous Strawberry Malted Waffle is a huge draw.
My husband and I came here a few weekends ago for the breakfast buffet and the food was okay but every plate on the buffet was dirty. There was food stuck to every single one. We went through the top 6 plates on the stack before we found one that (looked) clean. We both lost our appetite after seeing that because we couldn't shake the thought of how dirty the utensils we were using must be. Consider running dishes through 2 wash cycles because they weren't coming clean that day!
Let me start with; The fish is Soooo Good!!! Better than even Red Lobster's fish! It is soft, flakey and moist! We drive about 40 minutes just for their fish ???? and chips ???? basket! It comes with fries (of course) hushpuppies and coleslaw. The filets come in different sizes, so you may get 2 -4 pieces depending on their sizes. If you don't like coleslaw, the fresh all you can eat fruit, soup and salad bar is only $5.95 when added on to your meal. (Alone I think it is $11.95 or $12.95 as of this post.) And don't forget the pretzel bites and Strawberry Shakes!!! Oh so delicious! Warning... you might need a bigger table for all the yummy ???? food, especially if you have more than 2 people dining! And all of the times that we have gone to the Mason, Michigan Big Boy, the table service has been absolutely exceptional! It's well worth the drive, money, effort and time in my opinion! Check it out for yourself and enjoy! (In the attached picture, I think the basket is minus 1 piece of fish ???? cuz I think I ate it. ????)
It was my first Brawny Lad in 40 years. The bun is bigger and more fluffy and the patty was more hamburger-like than steak-like. A bit disappointing. Good attentive service tho.
