Great local stop this morning on our way through town. I used to live in the area for a couple months but never stopped here. I regret I never did. Great food at great prices and who doesn’t love that!! 2 people all for under $12. We felt a little bit rushed to order but that’s alright. They get pretty busy in the morning and need all hands on deck. I got the sausage gravy and biscuits. Couldn’t taste the sausage much but still was incredible. My wife got the breakfast sandwich and she couldn’t taste the eggs. She said it tasted more like a BLT. The cinnamon roll was a good take to go snack.
These biscuits were amazing! We ordered sausage gravy, home cut fresh french fries, bologna biscuit, and the strawberry biscuit. Everything was fresh and delicious home cooked like my aunt used to make. The strawberry biscuit has a perfect amount of strawberry sauce and whipped cream. If I lived near this restaurant , I would be 300 pounds. I loved it! Thank you! I especially loved the outside sign, and I did praise the Lord as I was eating that food!
We stopped in here on our way to the flea market. Very glad we found it! The biscuits and staff were great. They have a drive thru that was steadily flowing the whole time we ate inside. You order and pay at the counter and can sit inside to eat or take it with you.
I recently ate breakfast here with my daughter for the 1st time, and we were not impressed.
The workers were friendly. The food was ok, but not as good as I expected.
The dining area was very small and cramped, so if you would like to eat here, you may wanna use the convenient drive thru.
I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, 1 biscuit, and potato rounds. My daughter ordered the breakfast platter. The eggs were good, and the biscuit was ok, but I'm not sure why the menu didn't say tater tots, lol. I was expecting sliced potatoes that were fried or something... not over cooked tater tots!
I LoVe this place! I used to live in East Ridge and this was my happy place! It was the closest thing to eating my Granny's food. You will NEVER be disappointed! This is one of those places that's a hidden jewel and should be on TV! Enjoy. ????????????????????☀️????
This place is great! I had tenderloin egg and cheese biscuit. My husband had bacon and cheese.
It's funny to me that ppl would complain that the tater tots are greasy. They are fried potato.
We did not have a cinnamon roll but man they looked amazing.
We even saw a guy with his dog in the drive-thru line with his dog. That dog obviously knew what he was in line for. He was being really good and very attentive.
They also do a cooking class on making biscuits.
I did not like the gravy but I am a homemade gravy snob so don't hold that against them.
It's always a pleasant experience here. We stop in every few months on our way through the area. The food is always good and the staff are always friendly. The dining area is small, but they make it work, and we have never had an issue getting a seat.
When you bite into a buttermilk biscuit from the Big Biscuit Barn, be sure to close your eyes so you can immerse your senses in the light, airy texture, the savory butter, and the melt in your mouth goodness. It is a treat for your senses. The country sausage gravy has the smoothest, oh-so-light base with just the right size sausage mixed in with flakes of ground pepper that give it the true southern taste. The big biscuit platter has a generous helping of scrambled eggs, gravy or grits, and a biscuit with your choice of meat. The two of us had a keep-you-full-all-day breakfast for $16 and change. The restaurant is owned by Phillis Cabe, a widow who gives credit for her success over the past 15 years to her faith. Make the trip to the Biscuit Barn and while you are there, ask Phyllis about her biscuit making class. She might just save you a seat.
