I stopped into the Big Belly Deli to grab a few sandwiches today. I had the three amigos sandwich which was a little on the spicy side but absolutely delicious! The garlic cheese French dip was amazing with the sauce they include! The atmosphere is nice, very wholesome! They have extra seating upstairs which is a little quieter if that’s what you are looking for! The staff were great and very knowledgeable about the deli and which sandwich would be tastiest for you!
Love the Big Belly Deli! My husband brought home the Three Amigos Sandwich and I have not ordered anything else since because I am just so obsessed with the burst of flavors! Service was quick and the employees are very helpful. For the combo price, you get a sandwich, drink, chips, AND a dessert. That’s a good deal if you ask me!
Delicious food. Four of us and all the sandwiches were fresh and delicious. Crunchy bread and super fresh ingredients. Services was excellent.
On my 2nd and most recent visit to the ole Big Bell’ , m’lady and I got 2 sandwiches: the xmas special and the garlic cheese french dip. Both were fantastic. The French dip came on a garlic cheese bread with mounds of thin shaved beef (this sandwich is dangerrrously beefy) and a pairing of horseradish sauce and au jus that proved to be the perfect accompaniments. The Christmas special was packed with ham, turkey, gently caramelized onions (not too overpowering), and savory stuffing with incredible sage notes. The Dutch crunch bread these sammies come on is so unique and creates an amazing texture contrast to the meats, cheeses, and other toppings - definitely nothing else like it in STL.
The workers were really nice and friendly, however the food was NOT good! I ordered the St. Louis cheesesteak and there was hardly any steak on the sandwich. Shaved very thin as if they were trying to make the meat stretch. Not cool! I counted 2 thinly sliced peppers and a mushroom. The bread was hard as a brick. I honestly felt like I threw $12 bucks out the window because I was not able to eat the sandwich. Such a shame because I was excited to have a new sandwich shop in the area. Unfortunately, I won’t be back????.
Big Belly Deli is nothing short of spectacular. Great food, great service, would highly recommend if you’re in need of a lunch break in Florissant!!
