The atmosphere is great, the waitress was very attentive & gave me my space. The food ! I ordered stuffed mushrooms… absolutely disgusting ! Taste like grease, batter and bitter as mushrooms (wouldn’t recommend). The entree above…chicken was dry, and old. Vegetables had no seasoning and just lord take the wheel,I won’t be returning. IT’S A NO FOR ME.
The food was pretty good. A bit pricey for some things but average price for other menu items. The dessert was huge and delicious. Save room. It was an experience. The restaurant is very cute, great atmosphere. Our waitstaff was very friendly and punctual. All in all a good experience.
Love this place. Excellent food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. Lucky to have this place so close to home. Hope they bring back the apple stuffed chicken... Oh, also try the prime rib as they have a different but delicious flavor to it here.
Always a great time at Big Bear Lodge. We recently had my husband's birthday dinner there with family and friends and Rebecca and her team did a fantastic job with accommodating our party size. If I could recommend one thing, I would say, don't charge extra if people want to bring in their own desert to serve it (I didn't end up bringing anything in, because of this charge) - however, the deserts that we chose for our birthday specific menu were delicious and everyone enjoyed! **Our amount per person included alcoholic beverages and an appetizer.
Clean, beautiful, delicious food, wonderful service, an absolute superb experience!
My first time at the restaurant and I loved it. The atmosphere is so different and inviting. The services was great and food was delicious. The warm bread came with real butter. The salad was delicious and the portions were very good. I can't wait to go again.
Well this was my first time at the Big Bear Lodge and I had a Wonderful time. My brother made reservations for a large Family Dinner (24) which Big Bear very easily handled. We had exceptional service from our two waitresses and everyone seemed to enjoy the atmosphere and themselves. It's a Rustic, Log Cabin atmosphere with multiple big screen TVS and Fireplaces for the cooler time of the year. As for the food, we enjoyed Stuffed Mushrooms, Deviled Eggs, and Nachos for appetizers. I had a delicious Sirloin Steak ???? with mashed Garlic Potatoes. And I chose freshly baked Chocolate Chip Cookies for dessert. I sadly forgot to snap some pictures of the menu items. My Bad. But I watched family members enjoy Salmon, Pork Roast, Steak ????, Hamburgers, Prime Rib, Soups, Fresh Bread, etc. They have a completely stocked choice of any alcohol beverage and, or course, traditional beverages as well. There's plenty of room for the kids and it's handicap accessible as well. They have abundant Parking on the East, West, and South sides of the building. Masks are optional at this time.

We came here because we were in town and they had the best scallops forever ago. We left super disappointed, unfortunately. Both of us got the apple almond stuffed chicken, and it was bland, rubbery, and a big letdown. The mixed vegetable were like the steam in bag kind but the water from the bag was on the plate too with the veggies. No seasoning on the veggies or the mashed sweet potatoes. The stuffing mixture in the chicken was mostly cheese. Its sauce was good, but we both couldn't finish the chicken, it didn't feel cooked.
We told our server we were disappointed and she told us we should've gotten the salmon (we had debated about it when ordering) and brought us our $53 bill. No comp, no manager, not even an offer yo make something else.
Plus: atmosphere is great. Bread basket rolls were delicious, and the house salad and dressings were good. Just a big fail on the entreé. We won't be returning.
