Best WLM Reviews
Was having my car serviced near by and decided to have a brunch here. Ordered the gravy sampler but got pimento cheese grits instead of the mushroom gravy. The sausage gravy was delicious and creamy. The sawmill gravy was a bit stronger in flavor but I personally wouldn't get it again. It wasn't bad, just preferred the sausage gravy. The pimento cheese grits were interesting but felt like they were missing something for me flavor wise. The house made strawberry jam was delicious. Overall solid experience and would try again but thought some things could be improved on. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly and quick.
First time trying. Started out a bit rough as the hostess wasn’t the friendliest. No real greeting, smile or anything. But thankfully the experience went up from there. Our server was very nice, friendly and attentive. Our group ordered a few bloody Mary’s and peach Bellini to start. Excellent. I got the hibernation breakfast sandwich with home fries. So delicious!!!! All of the other meals were excellent too according to my buddies, including the avocado toast, breakfast biscuit with sausage and the Douglas breakfast sandwich. Highly recommend giving this brunch place a try.!
Stayed over at the hotel down the road, after seeing the sad breakfast spread we decide to stop in since it was close. Great decision! Excellent breakfast. We split a biscuit and sausage gravy then he had French toast and I had the Benedict with the loaded potatoes. Superb food and service. Waitress was super attentive and funny! I think I heared someone call her Kelly. If we ever travel back this way, we will stop again and definitely ask to sit in her section if she is working.
We came here around brunch with a group of 7 and about 4 liked their food. We ordered drinks and meals. The food took about 45 mins and the drinks from when we ordered took almost 30. Our server appeared very rushed and we had to get up multiple times to find him to order more drinks or to ask for a sauce. I would recommend if you order anything with steak to ask for a certain temperature or else it will come out rare.
Hats off to the cook here. He/she seems to really love what they do because the passion is in the food. We went twice with my family and both times ALLLLLLL the food we ordered was 5 stars. So happy we stopped in here. ALLL if the gravies are delicious. You have to try the pimento grits!!!!
The owner and staff are very kind and pleasant! Kelly is a spicy character haha but she was awesome and took good care of us
First time eating here. The atmosphere and artwork is really great. Colorful menus and nice use of color. The lightning needs updated, it’s like being in a hospital.
But aside from that, I got the Hibernator. Would definitely recommend. The breading is super light, the sawmill gravy served on top is very flavorful and rich, and the portion sizes are enormous. Come hungry, this is not a light meal. Food was great. Slight delay in having our order taken, but the staff was very friendly and polite.
The person I came with ordered the Douglas chicken biscuit. Again, delicious meal. However, the temperature of the chicken was not super hot. The flavors were great though. Tasty, just wish it was served hotter. Would eat here again.
Took my nephew for brunch to try it out because of the good reviews and the pictures but I was disappointed and I wish I wasn’t. The good was not as good as I thought it would be but it did look good. The biscuit was too tough and the gravy was too runny even though I asked for extra. I never got a refill on my water and didn’t see my waitress that I started with again. Another lady brought our ticket and never saw her again either. It was a beautiful day outside, a little rain but still beautiful. I don’t think I’ll go again but I’ll recommend anybody to try it at least once so they can have their own opinion. Still tipped. Hopefully you have a better experience.
Son of a biscuit this place is phenomenal. Everything fits with the bear theme. Their signature lattes were good I tried the campfire latte (it was so cute it had a toasted marshmallow and a teddy graham floating on it ????) and Carmel kiss cold brew - both yum!
I had the son of a biscuit biscuit with hot honey and chicken ???? it was soooo delicious!!! And my handsome, loving boyfriend got the petting zoo biscuit and he loved it ????
On top of having great food and coffee the service was impeccable. Friendly and speedy! Can’t wait to come back on not a work day to get the mimosa flight or maybe the Bloody Mary.
