In all honesty I’m not happy with my experience here. It’s my first time here but I’m someone tht rocks braids often so My problem isn’t even the amount of time it took to do my braids (went in at 1:15 got out by 9:30ish), but the QUALITY of these braids are terrible. It’s hard to believe I got my hair done at an actual African braid shop, I cld hv just went to someone’s apartment in the hood & got them done better.
#1 the girl they had doing the back of my hair was ABNORMALLY slow .
#2 She had fake nails on which made her braid even slower and made her more heavy handed because she had to struggle to grip due to the fake nails, now I have tension bumps at the back of my hair which NEVER has happened with Knotless braids I’ve gotten in the past.
#3 She had done almost half of the back of my braids by the time another girl finally came to help her complete the ends of the braids. That girl then starts unraveling all of the braids the slow heavy handed girl did because she added my boho hair to the braids wrong! Tht was when I asked if she was new and someone said yes. But It was Saturday and they were busy so I was glad someone came to help her with the back bcz it was just ridiculous how slow each braid was taking and she wasn’t even braiding down to the end bcx someone else does tht usually.
I like to wear my braids in a bun, so Had I known the back braids looked THIS bad and tht the parts were so sloppy and ugly I would hv told them to just take all of them down bcz I am very particular about how my braids look which I told them when I asked if she was new there and someone said yes.
#4 Before I could request someone else to do the front which I definitely planned on doing, another lady came and joined them and started doing the front. She was moving faster, but was dancing, winding her waist while braiding my hair and basically just doing TOO MUCH! I get u want to have fun at work but be professional and focus on my hair and doing these parts right. The front of someone’s braids is not where u play around at. I blame myself for not inspecting my braids better but based on the pictures they had online I just trusted that the owner would only have the best of the best doing braids there esp on a Saturday.
When it comes to customer service and certain cultures I just don’t even bother expecting anything good. & as expected it was very poor (except for the tall dark skin girl tht was helping to finish the ends of my braids she was soooo so sweet) but the slow one in the back was rude and her and another girl who randomly came around and starting trying to braid the right side of my front got upset when I requested for the SAME person to braid down the front.
**When it comes to the front I don’t want two different people doing two different things biased on their braiding styles. Putting in the boho hair at different locations and amounts like the ones tht did the back of my braids which had to be corrected. U would think that it was a simple request but no, these girls were upset & actually started talking bad about me in their language lol very obvious by their eye rolling lip

So here I am Tension bumps in the back of my head as u can see, awkward shaped parting and semi small braids with larger squares is what I l have to show for it.
**disclaimer** There are two amazing Braiders here that I observed which are the two light skin younger girls that look like sisters. They seem to be the only ones there that actually braid fast and neat, like they are very focused on their parting and do it well.
Now i have to walk around like this after spending SO MUCH on my human bulk hair for the boho. It would be Such a WASTE to take it all out but idk…. As an African myself, I hate ugly braids with a passion lol Look at the pictures and tell me if I’m tripping.. are these neatly done? Do they look like smalls? Are these squares uniform? I’m def not getting the compliments I usually do when I show up with braids that’s for sure lol ugh
I got medium knotless braids. They started at 2:40pm & finished at about 5:30pm. Three hours max! They're sooo fast! Neat braids,& great service. My appt was at 3,they got on my head as soon as I came,& it was before my appointment time. Two worked on my head. My braids are so pretty. I will be coming back. They are officially my hair stylists for braids.
Not as good as I thought. Getting careless, rude overcharging. After one week. Don't make appointment. It doesn't matter. They stop on your head to do walk in. Sad I'm very unhappy with my braids.
Bibi is amazing at her craft. Her shop is clean and she is professional and always has a great attitude. Her prices are fair and her services are top notch. I have been to other braiders who damage your edges and hair when putting in the braids. This has not been my experience with Bibi. She truly takes pride in protecting your natural hair.
I have been coming to BiBi for over 2 years now. She is professional, polite, friendly, knowledgeable of different styles and light handed. She doesn’t take all day to braid my hair. She worked with my very short hair when no one else would. She can do any style and has different colors of hair to choose from. Thank you BIBI.
I generally have a decent experience, howeverrrrr this time I requested rope twist/jumbo Senegalese twist. Once my hair was finished I noticed that some of my ends were braided.....?!? So I began taking the ends down, the woman braiding my hair comes over to me fussing as if I don't have the right to tell he how I WANT MY HAIR THAT I'M PAYYYYYYING FOR. I'VE HAD THIS STYLE SEVERAL TIMES, HELL I'VE DONE MY OWN HAIR THIS WAY! NOT TO MENTION HALF MY ENDS ARE TWISTED ANOTHER HALF BRAIDED. TF??!? ???????????? Make it make sense! Out of respect of the customer she should have honored my request. I just won't be going back. Did not have the energy or time to go back & forth. Another thing, it's rude as hell to take a break to eat. I'm paying damn near $200 I expect good customer service, all the stopping is inconsiderate for a PAYING CUSTOMER. Period!
I got my passion braids done & box braids for my daughter: who's super tender-headed by they were gentle and patient with her! Our braids are neat & pretty.
The ladies were so professional and so nice my daughter was never in pain
