When my old Tacoma starting giving my a shifting issue, I was desperate to find a good shop. Best Auto is literally down the street from me. I thought my clutch went bad, so I was thinking it will be an over a thousand dollar repair, but Chris figured out the clutch was fine, but the master and space cylinder failed, came out to only )$500 repair. Anytime something goes wrong with Frankie, I just roll him down the street to Best Auto. They can diagnose things quickly and have always been right. I have now been a customer for a little over a year, they have fixed my parking brake, leaf springs, CV joint and much more! I’ll be their customer for years to come.
I hate having to deal with anything related to my car, so I was already slightly paranoid having to take it to a mechanic.
First off, Chris and his team are extremely friendly, and have a very calming and approachable demeanor. Which made it very easy for someone like me who was already freaking out about how much $$ this was gonna cost me.
I left them my car, and within a few hours Chris called me and told me, it was simply my battery. They will change it, and I can come pick it up within the hour. I’m glad it was a minor issue. The service was so great, and so was the communication, that I will not hesitate to come here again in the future.
It is very difficult often to find a car mechanic to trust, and, thus, once found they are precious. That is why I still drive to The Best Auto Repair from Bronx after we moved away from Astoria.
Chris was great! He was able to fit us in last minute with a 24h turn around time. We had to get our brake rotors, pad, and one of the calipers changed. This was a subset of what the dealership was recommending and the pricing was very reasonable. Great communication and professionalism from everyone. I would definitely recommend.
Very friendly and quick work. They took my car in that day for an oil change and were not pushy about selling me on the full synthetic, which I appreciated. They did a full check-over of my car and I appreciated their feedback

Best Auto repair on Newton is simply the best. They have saved me multiple times and are honest help. Never trying to take advantage. They always explain the process and my options and have an impressive turn around time. I’m grateful to have them.
Went to the shop on the recommendation of a friend. Chris and his team were professional and efficient. I have gone for a number of issues, including a recent inspection. I feel like mechanics in the past have embellished my car's issues and have taken advantage, but I felt like the guys at Best Auto Repair were honest about what I needed. Will definitely come back!
