Bert’s is the best! They went absolutely above and beyond to help me this morning! They were very accommodating from start to finish. Great price, great work, great people at Bert’s!!!
Called to see if I could be seen to plug a nail in a tire. Receptionist was kind and friendly and let me know I could visit immediately. Went inside the shop and cooled off thanks to the great AC. Met Bert and Ethan. They were both friendly and pleasant. They plugged the hole in my tire, and checked the air pressure of all my tires. The price was lower than I expected and I was in-and-out in less than 15 minutes.
My family and I were visiting James Island/Charleston and had a nail in our tire. I knew as a former resident, I used to bring my vehicle into Bert’s. His shop is trustworthy and very fair.
Honestly, I didn’t expect for him to get me in, but in a moments notice he was able to rearrange his schedule and repair the tire. As a business owner, this is the difference between a locally-owned operation and a corporate business.
I live up north now and wish I could bring his shop there with me. Wonderful service and cannot recommend enough!

This review is a little late, but Bert has helped me out with two "house calls", when I couldn't get the vehicles to him... Once a few years ago, and once a few months back. Both times, he was able to trouble shoot the issues and solve the problems, with a very reasonable charge. The lady in the front office is super-nice as well. It's no surprise to see his lot always packed with cars and customers. Honestly, one of the few places or business still around, where you get MORE than what you pay for (in a good way). Very competent work at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend...

Edit / Follow up... 3rd time working with Bert's, and still 5 stars. Was able to complete a steering component replacement for 25% of what the dealer quoted. In and out in one day, which I am sure the dealer would not have been able to do. Absolutely excellent and affordable work.
I was on a road trip with my mom, we’re from MN, when my battery died and wasn’t able to jump start it. I called Bert’s Motorworks, on a Sunday, and explained my dilemma. He said that while he normally isn’t working on Sundays, he happened to be at the shop that day and happened to have the type of battery my car needed, and said to have my car towed over. So already I’m incredibly grateful, and then by the time our Uber ride dropped us off at the shop, Bert was already just about done working on my car! New battery and all. He was very easy to talk to and did great, honest work. I’d highly recommend Bert’s Motorworks!
Bert saved my day! I have a trip tomorrow and I walked in at 4:30 PM with a nail in my tire. He took a look at it and told me 20 minutes and he could have it done. Save your time & patience booking with any big auto corporation in town and go directly here. Bert is local and the best. Thanks again, I will definitely be back for any future car needs.
