Decent food we did stand at the counter for like 10 minutes before anyone acknowledge us. I had the seafood broiled platter and it was pretty darn good my only comment was the baked potatoes was a lil dried out. She had the walleye and wasn’t pleased that it was served in a platter of butter. Overall we would give this place a try again.
First let me say Crystal is an amazing bartender. Not only does she kick butt managing her bar, but she caters to her customers amazingly! Seafood combo always a favorite, but honestly everything I’ve ever tried at Ben’s was excellent. The fresh bread loaf with hot peppers and melted cheese is so good… can’t go wrong there. Can’t wait to go back again.
Very Family oriented. I enjoyed sitting at the bar, the cold draft Bud light was the best. I enjoyed the fried fish dinner and the pepper/cheese stuffed bread was amazing. Not to mention we had the best bartender in town .. Crystal was welcoming with her big smile . Can’t wait to come back and enjoy football season ! Go Browns !!

Cathy & Jessica were absolutely fantastic with our group of 33 people tonight! We had a gender reveal for our son tonight. I called weeks ago to make reservations and they were so accommodating. They close at 6pm and told us they would stay as late as we needed. We left after 7pm and I was just so impressed with the staff. Thank you Ben’s! My family has been coming here for 40+ years and that tradition will continue in with this GRANDAUGHTER of ours!!❤️
I’ve tried this place multiple times and I have been dissatisfied each time. The inside of this place definitely needs some updating. The food is overpriced for what it is..especially any seafood dish. My last time there which was only a couple weeks ago..my $20 stuffed shrimp pasta had so much garlic in it and the few shrimp you get was definitely not jumbo!! I live local and I would love to love this place and I thought maybe under new ownership it would have been a better experience. I thought wrong. I would say this is an okay lunch spot..but dinner is a no go!! I would not recommend!!
Well it’s been over three years since we last came here to Ben’s and I must tell you that we probably won’t be back here again! The last time we came the food was excellent and the service was amazing and the fact that we live an hour away from here made it an event that we enjoyed.
This time however we sat down at our table and waited at least 15 minutes before someone came and brought us our menus and asked what we would like to drink, 10 minutes later we ordered, I ordered the deep fried seafood platter, my wife ordered the Big Ben burger with cheese, ketchup and mayonnaise with pickles on the side and fries, our daughter ordered the mozzarella sticks and fries, and our friend ordered the chicken dinner with mashed potatoes.
40 minutes later our food came out, the fries were ice cold and my wife’s burger had mustard on it instead of mayonnaise and the pickles were on the sandwich also. Our friends chicken was also a little cold and she said it was a little dry and the mashed potatoes were bland.
My seafood platter was mediocre as the shrimp on the plate was not deveined and the scallops were overcooked as was the fish.
The only one whose food was good was the daughter’s.
Will not be making the trip back here again!!!
Really disappointed with Ben’s this was a great place to take the family to for a very long time.
Thrilled that Ben’s has new owners. Staff seems to be reinvigorated and excited about all the recent changes. Rachel is without a doubt the backbone of the operation. Her smile and positive attitude make every outing a fun and pleasant one. Only negative comment is that there are still people from old ownership involved. Once they are gone, the place will thrive.
