A very comfortably furnished restaurant with a small but fine menu. The quality of the food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and take good care of the guests. Unfortunately, the owners have a language barrier, which makes them a little unsure of themselves when dealing with guests. For visitors to De Panne, the Benelux is an absolute must ... it's best to reserve a table by the window in advance.
Really nice dining experience from a family owned restaurant. Fresh fish dishes, oysters, and paired with a nice wine. We had sabayon as a dessert and it was amazing. Service is friendly, including the family dog. I highly recommend this place when in De Panne.

The best place to discover the tipical gastronomy .... Super family restaurant in The Panne !!
A nice looking bistroish restaurant. It took about 45 minutes to take our order and get drinks on the table - maybe because we didn't speak French. The oysters were probably best I've ever had, and this was in August. The starter soup was very big. Our kid wasn't served with plates, forks and such until we asked, and we had to go find the high chair by ourselves. After about 1 h and 40 minutes in the restaurant, we finally had main courses on the table. If I was running restaurant, I would try to be quicker for tables with a restless 1-year-old in the group. The cod with truffle sauce was heavenly smooth and satisfying. One of us was disappointed because there were surprise mushrooms in the dish - the menu didn't tell about that. Altogether very tasty fine food with random slow service and no real contact to the customer.
Terrible service. We came to this restaurant because some local person recommended it. When we arrived there were no tables inside available so after a quick chat with the host/manager/owner we decided to sit outside... I explained to the owner that I have a terrible cigarette allergy and that sitting outside was really against my wish but I was really hungry and we had good references, he even helped us to check when the other tables were going to be occupied. So far so good but 10 min later the table that we checked was occupied by 2 heavy smokers who were friends with the owner. It was so disappointing to see that he just wanted to cash in and did not even care about my allergy. He obviously knew the people sitting there, it would have been nicer for him to say that he had a table but that after hearing about my allergy, he recommended to go somewhere else because I was going to be surrounded by a chimney. Obviously I am not coming back ever again
Had a meal here when I was visiting de panne Thursday night and the food and service was fantastic I had the fillet steak and opted to have a mushroom sauce and honestly was the best steak I’ve ever had in my life will defo come again when back in Belgium
