Ive been going to this shop for years, the problem is lol i only really go to buy hair when i go to vacation or out the country. (My hair gets ..sassy sometimes, so tight braids will controll it lol) they always recommend the best and very homelike atmosphere always check it out.
Check in, ask questions ! It doesnt hurt.
This is, hands down, the best beauty supply store in the entire city. Nestled in Parkchester near the 6 train, you are definitely going to find everything you need and then some. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I actually stole two items from this store once. When I left I began to feel horrible about what I did and returned to give the items back. The owner probably should have told me never to come back, but he surprised me. With a smile he thanked me for my honesty and told me I was welcome back anytime. I like to think I made a friend in the process. A special shout out to not only you, but your friendly staff as well! May all the blessings you deserve find you soon!
Fatima did a great job with my braids. Her shop is clean and neat!
I went here to exchange a bottle of oil because when I went home I realized a quarter of it was gone and it appeared as if someone previously opened it. I went to the manager politely (the balled guy with the buttoned up shirt) and he accused me of lying and told me to call the police if I wanted to. He was extremely rude and took things way too far. I don’t understand what I did to be spoken to that way. I will not be returning here again and from now on I will be going to the other beauty supply store Sense Beauty. This isn’t my first rude encounter with that man. And from the looks of these reviews he has multiple complaints. He shouldn’t be working in customer service if he cannot properly speak to people.
I went in to do goddess twist hair with a lady named Fatima. I asked her is she knows how to do it. She said yes and with a picture of it. I asked also if she has the hair she said yes. Went in front was nice but i didnt come out with the hair i wanted i spent 100 dollars more in hair i had to buy. Besides the 220. I am soooo upset five twists came out next day and all opened up. I try curling the hair she made me buy it looks horrible. Do not go to this lady. Money wasted. $330. When i really hesitated in spending this money when i couldnt. I texted her and she only replied come in at noon i work weekedays accomadate me ina. Sat no answer yet it has been two days. Never again.
I love this place! I’ve been going to that beauty supply store for 10 years now!! The supplies are very decent priced and they always have everything we need when we go! All and I mean ALL the employees are awesome and very friendly. They always willing to help you with whatever you are looking for. The store manager or what we call him, “Boss” is a wonderful person! He is very respectful, friendly and caring person. My kids love going to the beauty supply because he and the others make us all feel very welcome! Thanks for the great service.
This place gives open but closed at the same time wasted time money and energy for a limited supply of nothing save your bread and go elsewhere.
Also the “owner” was unprofessional and dismissive but not to other customers who looked like they could be related to her.
I used to come to this store often, however, I had an encounter with a rude employee that made me put down the item I was intending to buy and leave. There's too many beauty supply stores to deal with poor customer service. Also, their items are priced higher than the beauty store up the block. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
