Even though I’m a frequent customer, I go at least four times to six times a year. All I wanted was my braids taken down so I could wash my hair and get it done again. The person on the phone was kind of rude, maybe because of the language barrier. But I am huge on customer service. If you’re unable to understand your customer, you definitely need to invest in getting someone to answer your phone. Someone who can speak to your customers in a polite manner, so you don’t lose business.
I got my hair braid on June 30th. I get there at 9:15am they didn’t start on my hair until 10am. It’s only been two weeks my kinky twist are come out. Everyone in the shop is not licensed to do hair. I spend 180 dollars. Only for my hair to be coming down already. I do believe when she was cleaning up my braids they was cutting my natural hair as well. When I said something to her about cutting my hair. She ignored me and said my hair is in the braid. I could see my hair fall on cap which it was so easy to recognize because my hair is completely gray!!! Also in the middle of my head I notice not all my hair was twisted up. I wouldn’t recommend this shop at all!! Stay away!!!
I always set appointments when I come to Beauty Secrets African Braids, the women are ALL talented and they try their very best to accurately satisfy every client. I have never been disappointed leaving my chair, the ladies negotiate with you and are very respectful and friendly. Whatever hairstyle I ask for they always make it look better than expected, BESIDES THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.. You cannot please everybody! I would recommend every black woman wanting her hair braided to come here. Just make sure you grow your hair to an acceptable length so your braids can stay in longer. ????♥️. Love this place.
I had an appointment scheduled at 3pm didn’t start on my head until 4:45 this was the day before Christmas i showed her a specific picture the girl did whatever she wanted to do. I told her that’s not what I asked for she took some down and redid them I wanted lemonade braids I was there until 10pm at night 6 days later my braids were being lifted from my scalp pulling my edges , and the left side of my hair out I reached out to them personally and they discounted $20 off of a $140 hair style & I provided my own hair I didn’t receive my money they offered me a discounted hair style for the day they wanted me to come but I had to work so I just said forget it they can keep it but I’ll never be going there to get my hair done nor do I recommend this place !!!
I got my hair done there a few weeks ago. Box braids. I went in there knowing my hair is a bit short and may not be able to do box braids at it's current length. After being there since 8:30AM (My appointment time) and the owner of the salon, who was doing my hair, didnt arrive until maybe 9:30am. We didn't actually start until 10am. I asked her BEFORE we started, if my hair was long enough to do it. If not, I would wait a few months and come back. She said she could do it, but would have to charge me extra since it was so short and we would have to be there all day. We agreed on $200 before she got started. After she washed my hair and actually got started, she had me pay. She said it was $210. Where the extra $10 came from, I'm unsure. Perhaps for washing my hair. But i would have had it washed if she told me when i made the appointment a week before. Throughout 8 hours I was there, she stopped many times to be on her phone. With no breaks, I sat there for 8 hours getting my hair done. Granted I expected the time and price when going in. What I didn't expect was my hair to be falling out after 2 weeks of being in, when I was told it would last 2 MONTHS. And because I asked before if my hair was long enough, and she said it was, and even charged EXTRA to do it, I'm not satisfied with this company. I would have been happy if they would at least last a month. I will not be returning to this salon. Especially since I drove an hour, paid $210, and spent 8 hours in a chair, just for it to fall out. A waste of money.
I highly recommend Beauty Secrets! Dec 26, 2017 I was meeting a woman who braided out of her house for box braids for $150. My brother had given me the money to get my hair braided before my baby comes (currently 9 months pregnant.) I arrived at the house and the girl wouldn't answer her phone or her doorbell and it smelled like weed horribly. So I called Beauty Secrets because on google they had high reviews and were close. They charge $180 for box braids with the hair included. I didn't have $180. The owner, I believe her name is Rosie? Although I could be mistaken, she told me to come on over and she'll talk to me. So I go over and explained what happened and said she'd do it for $160 and immediately one of the braiders got started on my hair. The staff is so very polite and fast. I arrived just before 3 and left just a bit after 8. Although I couldn't always understand the language, I could understand the friendship between the braiders, they were always smiling and very attentive to their customers. The braids look beautiful. They are braided tight, naturally, but my head doesn't hurt the way it does after going to other braiding shops. In addition, Beauty Secrets offers many different styles. I definitely will go back and highly recommend them to my friends.
They did my hair very cute. But the lady who did my hair was yanking my hair and gripping it very tightly i was very mad and upset & they all had attitudes except one nice lady but they were kind of mean and the lady who was doing my hair she told me to tell her if she was braiding too tight i told her twice she still kept doing it very hard but even harder. I will NEVER be going back there again
Been here before LOVED the work LOVED the customer service. This time I chose singalese I had never had before. Got them May 14th not even a week and several were hanging 2 inches from my scalp. My hair is not short so I'm not sure why they're sliding. I called to see if they could be fixed and was told the shop wouldn't be open until June 1st. By the time June 1st hit I had lost several braids and more braids hanging 2inches from my scalp. At this point I'm just trying to make it to a month so I won't feel like the $220 I paid was a complete loss. Braids were BEAUTIFUL though ????
