I had never been to this salon before and now I know why. I went in for highlights, cut, and facial waxing. All of these were done terribly. I asked during the highlights if we were going to tone them which I was told was not necessary. After the highlights processed I explained I did not like them they were very chunky multiple colors and the front of my hair was completely blonde. After saying this the hairdresser attempted to fix my bangs. I asked if we could blend the rest of the highlights to which she responded to wait until it’s dried and it’ll blend. I had chunky highlights on the side of my head which looked like large and made it embarrassing to put my hair up. Then came the haircut. I asked for long layers and to remove the dead ends. I received a shelf haircut where the layers are sharp and uneven and not at all what I asked for. On to drying where she did not use any heat protectant and destroyed my hair. I again expressed my dislike of the highlights and was told that I could change my part and it might make it better. The facial wax was nonexistent and I walked out with the same I walked in with. After all of this I was still charged half price. I have had to spend twice that much to fix what was done to my hair. I walked out on the verge of tears because of how terrible everything looked. I would never recommend this salon to anyone and feel as though charging for such a poor experience is not right. They clearly don’t care about the experience of their clients and trying to right their wrongs.
First time after long time ,someone's cut my hair a bit different and without me giving the ideas. The girl was very young so i had my doubts:) and yet she has done great great job. If I lived there,I would definitely be a customer. Also,the hair products that I bought from them are really really good!
I had an appt with Abby today. She did a great job touching up my highlights and gave me a great cut and styled my hair nicely. The women were very professional and I was quite pleased with the outcome. I used a Groupon and it was a very good deal. Very nice place.
I came here for a haircut and blowout with Alicia because I had a Groupon. The booking process was easy and convenient. When i arrived for my appointment I was able to park right out front on Main st. I called to let them know i was there and they had me go in. They checked my temperature and had me sign the Covid-19 screening questionnaire. I did notice that the front door closed rather quickly, which caught me off guard. I was expecting it to close gently and slowly behind me. Anyway. I have long thick wavy hair that falls to mid back. Alicia asked me about my hair first then did the shampoo and conditioner treatment. I usually don't look forward to that part, since most shampoo chairs are pretty uncomfortable in the neck area, but this one actually felt comfortable for me. I let her know that I was having some itchiness on one part of my scalp that day and she recommended a scalp scrub for me to take home and try. She gave me a sample which actually did help. She did a great job with my haircut and my hair felt smooth and shiny for several days.
Wow, this stylish salon was full-service. I had a hair cut, shampoo/conditioner, gloss treatment, and styling for a very reasonable price! The owner personally sought to understand exactly the style I wanted and took her time making it happen. She is amazing. She also answered questions I had about how to style it. If you are looking for a nice place to get your hair (and nails) done, look no further.
My manicure was wonderful. The manicurist used high end products for my cuticles and nails. Time was taken for careful filing and cuticle care. Manicurist used soothing lotion for a therapeutic hand massage. There were many choices of polish colors . At the end of the week, my nails looked as if I had just walked out of the salon!
I'd like to start by saying I have NEVER left a review before, so please read! My experience with Beauty Bar was terrible. It started in April 2021. I purchased a Groupon for a facial and went. It was okay, so I bought 3 more. The 2nd appointment, when I called to confirm, I was told I wasn't in the book (even though I watched it being scheduled - I also noticed this happened to others). So I booked another date .The girl called and canceled and said she would call me back in a couple days to reschedule. She never did, so I called them multiple times. Two months later someone finally called me back and I went for a 2nd facial. The girl did great, so I scheduled another with her! Then I was called and told she quit and they had nobody that could schedule me for a facial (the turnover was probably caused by the owner). After another month of nobody returning my calls, someone finally answered the phone. I explained the situation and hard time I was having, so they offered a refund and said the owner, Angie, would contact me. She didn't. I had to call repeatedly over several months. She claimed she is a new owner, she didn't have checks, etc (tons of excuses). Finally, after SEVERAL months of this back and forth and her telling me she would call and didn't, I put my foot down and said no more brushing me off. She left a rude voicemail for me that my check will be ready tomorrow. "BYE." So I went. It wasn't there. I was told she left for the day (I went after work at 5pm) and she had the check on her so come back tomorrow. I said no, she now needs to mail it because I don't live near there. I knew she wouldn't have it ready...so we will see what happens, but please do not go there. The customer service is a nightmare and I don't believe this business will last if she can't get it together. I noticed other reviews about her attitude as well...good luck, Angie!
I will confirm that the owner is uncaring and unprofessional. I will not deny that I really loved the facial peels & esthetician so I purchased a package of 3. When I went for my 3rd appointment (exactly 4 weeks after the 2nd) the owner told me that I did not have an appointment. I am 100% certain and saw that the esthetician wrote *something* directly in the book. I did not take a card but entered it on my phone calendar immediately. I told her that I would buy another package of 3. I verbally discussed exactly what time to come in. When you want to achieve a certain result, you stop using actives days ahead and really look forward to the next facial treatment. Instead of being sympathetic, the owner completely discounted that I was not the one who was in error. When I got upset her attitude got even worse and she told me that they were booked for a month! The next day I left a message to speak with the esthetician whom I had a warm relationship with. Instead, the owner called me back to say that she “will not let you speak to MY employee” and “she’s new” and “she’s busy”. Then she proceeded to say that they were booked for 6 weeks. Do not give Beauty Bar on Main your money. They don’t deserve it.
