If you want to be treated like a criminal then by all means come here. They hire people of color to act to mask their prejudice. Yes, I get that beauty supply stores are targeted by thieves but so are other retailers. Today was my last straw. I work too hard for my money to spend it somewhere I am being blatantly watched while I shop. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
The owner that works here was extremely rude. The cashier was extremely respectful. Personna blade holders were discontinued, so I wanted to make sure that I didn't spend my money again on the same thing & The owner asks, "Why do you keep asking the same freaking questions. I've just explained to you three times & I've been working here for 20 years. I know what I'm talking about. I never said that he didn't. I was just asking was he for certain, because I know that Beauty supplies won't allow to return/exchange even without A receipt. I never discredited information. I was asking, because I had A terrible situation here recently where I was told the razor holder had fit the personna blades & they didn't at all. He even snatched the items out of my hand & everything. I cancelled my order, told him to have A great & wonderful day, & left. The other guy is so nice, he shouldn't have to work in that type of environment. Sad.
The Pro: Lots of products to pick from. They will give store credit for returned items (but read your receipt very carefully).
The Con: The shelf life for some products need attention big time! Some products are found dusty, there are opened products that look too used for resale, some products are so old its dried up.
They have a nice selection but I felt like I was being watched. I just wish they treat their customers with more respect. At the end of day we are paying your bills. Please keep it mind that nothing lasts forever !!!!
They have a large inventory with great options for products. That's the upside, otherwise, I was so uncomfortable because the staff watched me the whole time I was there. Then, after ringing up $40 in products to purchase, the cashier mentioned that I accidentally grabbed a tester concealer instead of the new product. I told her I would grab the proper one, keep in mind it was 15 feet away from the register, and plenty of staff standing around that could have switched it out for me. So I ran to grab another and come back to find the cashier has canceled my entire order and rang up the next customer within 60 seconds! Then says absolutely nothing to me. One will expect "Hey, if you don't mind, I'll just ring her out...?" Or something! Nope! It was awkward and rude. So I left. I'm not interested in ever going there again. There are too many establishments that provide a comfortable shopping experience for me to ever consider patronizing one that makes careless customer service mistakes like this. No one is perfect, I hope you implement some sort of customer service training. That would help avoid this in the future.
Is beauty supply store is okay. It has the basic needs with regards to black hair care but when it comes to expanding out the need for colors and versatility and Brands they are lacking. The bonus is that you are able to earn points which translates into money that you're able to use off on your total purchase.
I always come to this beauty supply. They are always stocked with what I need and the store is always clean and well organized. Prices are good and the people are friendly. The best part is their rewards program to get $$$ off if you join. That’s a new bonus from stores I’ve visited in the past. This is the only beauty supply I ever recommend.
Unhappy 12yr Customer~
I have been patronizing Beauty 4 u for 12yrs, I have never been treated with disrespect or had any other complaints until now.
My complaint is that I tried to exchange a hair creme on Sunday 07-16-2023 which was purchased on Friday 07-14-2023 due to my negligence of picking up the wrong creme. I was told no by the cashier (very nice young lady) who did ask another store employee who shook his head no, never verbally responding (disrespectful). I also showed a receipt that shows I spent over $80 on different items. If you care about your customers and want to better serve your customers, you should try to evaluate each situation on an individual basis. I lost $20 due to inconsideration of the situation. Yes, it is only $20 but it is also the principle (the moral belief what is right and what is wrong that influences an action).
