I had been contemplating cutting my hair for several years and I was pointed to come here. As I got ready to embrace this new me,ofc fear was there, but I was greatly cared for. Not only did my hair turn out Amazing, I was able to connect with a genuine beautiful soul! Michelle the owner is a true blessing. It's important that who does your hair has blessed hands but grace to match! Hands down, choose Beautiful U!
I had called the day before my appt and spoke to a gentleman and we spoke about details of what I wanted done and a day and time. We agreed on me going in the next day for my appt with him. I got there loved the energy from him all positive vibes. Thing is I wanted a cut and color. He said he would relax the sides and keep the top natural as that was the part that would be colored. Ok so as he relaxed my hair it started to burn after maybe 5 mins really bad I've been natural for maybe 4-5 years so not sure if this is one reason why. The way he cut my hair after I went home and could really see the next day after my curls fell that I put in when I went home looked like it was a child playing with scissors in the back of my head. I also have bad burns from the relaxer in the back of my head which doesn't feel to good especially since I haven't had to deal with this in years being a natural. I heard many great things about Michelle and her shop which is one reason I choose that shop, but this wasn't a great experience for me. I'm so funny about who I allow in my hair and this is one reason why. I was already nervous going into it and was really hoping for a great experience. It didn't go well for me and I don't usually write reviews and would normally deal with it and move but this is my hair. I hope others have a better experience then I did as I seen and heard great things it just didn't happen for me.
I had a hair emergency! I lie to you not, I asked numerous individuals around town who I should contact and almost everyone said to call Michele Elby at Beautiful U Salon on Progress Ave. I damn near ran into her shop. I explained my dilemma and was given an appointment that same day!! She gave me a new look and gained a new client!! Michele truly has gifted hands! Thank you sooo much!!

I love getting my hair done at Beautiful U Salon. Everyone is so pleasant. The Salon is clean and well maintained. Michelle thank you! for always making my hair look so good. All of the hair stylists are so talented at what they do.
I met with Michelle. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and i have been looking for a stylist who could do natural hair. Michelle did her thing, not only did she do a nice cut, but I haven't had a wash like that in years. I had her color my hair, because of the gray, and she did a wonderful job. I love the color, and where the gray was, the color gave me beautiful highlights. They are reasonably priced as well. I would recommend this salon to anyone who wants positive energy, adult conversation, and a "mature" drama free not old clientele. There's another person who did a color and feed ins, I dont remember her name and she did an excellent job on her client's hair as well. I don't know if I just happened to come on a good day, or if that's their vibe at all times, if so, keep doing what you do. Oh I forgot to say, my only problem is that she is cash only. I never carry cash, but it's an ATM in the plaza.
I Cannot Express enough how satisfied I am with my hair. EVERYONE tells me how much they "really like" my hair and how my cut fits me.I had alot of damage to my hair and now it feels healthy again. Michelle really has a gift and she has blessed every patron she has come across with her talent. You feel so comfortable. Thank you to everyone at Beautiful U.
