Good Old fashioned hearty comfort food. They are delicious! And the portion is quite generous. They're desserts are delicious, but leaning a bit on the sweeter side (too sweet for me, but probably okay for most). The vibe is very good, with upbeat music to energize your day. And the service is excellent. Our waiter gave very good recommendations.
The juiciest burger I’ve ever had. Must try, and I think it’s half off during happy hour. We did wait a while to get our drinks started, but once we got taken care of, our server did a great job in making sure we were doing good. The Brussels sprouts were good: flavor was great but could have been a bit crispier. The chicken sandwich was crispy, but a little dry - it needed more sauce. The pancakes were so so fluffy and amazing! I would come back just for that! Drinks were ok. Dessert menu didn’t have anything that caught my attention. Bathrooms were clean.
Beatrix is a fine place for brunch. I’m very happy about their many gluten free items. 10 years ago or so when l the first Beatrix opened we were smitten. The hot honey fried chicken sandwich was such a fun gluten free experience! The juice/smoothie options also taste very good.
Great food. Reservations recommended. On first floor. Bloody Mary was very good. Prime Burger was cooked as requested (Rare). French toast was good. Ham & Cheese Croissant was very good. Service was good. The place was very busy on a Saturday for lunch. We had a reservation.
Excellent food,service and atmosphere. Went on Easter for brunch I had the egg white omelet and my husband had the steak and eggs.Both were cooked perfectly,fresh and delicious.Service was excellent the waiter was attentive filling our water glasses bringing coffee when needed,just an altogether wonderful brunch.On our list for brunch next time we are in Chicago.
very nice ambiance. wine and cocktails were good. had the crispy rice tuna for a starter which was good but awkward to eat. chopstick food! prime burger was very delicious as were the fries. our server didnt come around much.. but who i assume was a food runner named crystal was excellent. she was very knowledgable on the menu and brought samples of sauces for us to try. her upbeat personality was wonderful without being fake and interacting with all the guests. i personally would make her a manager.

Our foray into Beatrix's menu began with an appetizer duo that set an impossibly high bar. The buffalo chicken meatballs were a revelation - tender morsels of chicken that danced daringly on the edge of spicy, each bite an echo of culinary prowess. Accompanying this spicy delight, the hummus was a masterpiece of flavors, rich and inviting, making every scoop a journey through the Mediterranean in a bite.
The main course, a Caesar salad adorned with chicken, was poetry on a plate. Far from the ordinary, this salad was an ensemble of crisp greens, perfectly coated in a dressing that whispered secrets of ancient recipes, while the chicken - oh, the chicken - was a crispy yet tender marvel that melded with the greens in a symphony of flavors.
Our Beatrix experience was rounded off with coffees that could rival the nectar of the gods. The hazelnut mocha was a sweet, nutty embrace in a cup, while the latte stood proudly as its equal, smooth and robust. And as if the gods of gastronomy hadn't already smiled upon us, we left cradling pastries that were nothing short of miraculous. The blueberry lemon muffin was a jubilant celebration of fruit and cake, moist, juicy, and utterly satisfying. The banana bread was a dense, flavorful journey through the essence of banana, each bite a testament to the art of baking.

Went for restaurant week and loved it. Got a chocolate chip cookie, enchiladas, and mimosa! My friend got the coffee cake and no one really enjoyed that. Tasted more like corn bread and was dry. Service, food, and portions were fab!
