Best WLM Reviews

Our Chicago friends brought us here but it wasn't what they were expecting. We stayed anyway! We each got a drink and some food and it was all delicious. I'll say the food menu is somewhat small and odd, however. But we split a cheeseburger and the feta dates and it was probably the best cheeseburger I've ever had, and I don't usually like them to begin with. It was divine. We all liked our drinks as well and the atmosphere is just beautiful, except they were watching wrestling and then golf on the huge TVs right by us at the bar, that was odd. ???? They need to have something beautiful on TV to match the restaurant. The music was also blasting so we all had to scream, that seemed pretty typical everywhere we went in Chicago tho. We're not used to that! Anyway, it was really fun and great burgers and drinks.
Went for the happy hour (W-F 4pm-7pm with $10 burgers, spreads | $10 cocktails, wine | $5 beer.
Spreads were unique and fantastic, particularly the octopus hummus - grilled slices of octopus on a bed of hummus. Nice burger but would have been better if it had some fresh tomato/lettuce on it.
Overall would definitely come back for the happy hour.
Been to Beatnik on the river before, this location is just as good, maybe better. Cocktails were awesome... Mango margarita, a coco whiskey cocktail, and a tequila recommended from the bartender. Bartender was super friendly, attentive and very educated on his spirits. Would definitely recommend.
The space is so laid back and enjoyable. A fun spot for couples but I can’t help but feel this place would come alive for a larger group. The food is spot on the money too. You get what you pay for so the value is good imo.
We went here for a brunch with the girls. The the obvious of the decor is beautiful there's an indoor section and then an outdoor patio area where the roof opens the plants the seating the bohemian style absolutely beautiful. Definitely great for photos. There is street parking very helpful. The food was pretty decent. I had the chicken and waffles. It was pretty good smaller portions for sure for the price. Also the Mediterranean salad was delicious and the avocado toast. The hummus was delicious. Steak with eggs was also good and salmon toast. One of the ladies had the lamb, it was just OK it wasn't flavorful. Service was OK. Little on the slow side. Our server didn't come back and ask us if we wanted more drinks since we already had ordered one alcoholic drink while we were there. The drinks were very tasty and had a nice spike to them. We only got one round which the waiter could have definitely gotten more drinks out of us, if he came back around to check on us or ask us if we wanted more drinks . But it looked like he was the only one serving along with another young lady that was helping him bring the food out. I would definitely go back to try that dinner menu.
My experience was immaculate , from
The moment I walked in the door! Today was the start of a new brunch menu and Matthew made sure to walk us through everything! We ordered the smoked salmon dip to start 9/10, very light quick bite. For our main course we ordered chicken and waffles 8.5/10 and steak and eggs 8.5/10 side orders for falafel and bacon 10/10. As we finished the GM Evan joined us for a quick check in suggesting the bread pudding (OMG my mouth is still drooling 15/10!!!!).
Overall all I am pleased with brunch and they will see us again!

I recently enjoyed brunch at this establishment. The interior decorations are not only stunning but also create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. If you're someone who values a pleasing environment, this restaurant is a must-visit.
As for the culinary aspect, in my opinion, it was decent. The portion size was slightly smaller than I had anticipated, but the flavors were delicious. While their brunch menu may not boast an extensive array of dishes, they certainly have some of the most popular brunch dishes.
Incredibly slow service, there seemed to be a race between the kitchen and the bar for who could bring their work product out last. Our waiter never checked on our food or why part of our meal never showed up. In fact, we had to explain that we never got part of our order and to take it off the bill.
The drink, a penicillin, was blended. Although interesting, not described that way on the menu nor a way I have ever had it. The drinks, and the food were good, but none of the other things make up for it. The meals came out at different times, and we missed part of our meal all together.
The gluten free options weren't clearly explained by the waiter; either something has gluten through deliberate preparation or through cross contamination. The fried artichokes were the former and explained as the latter.
The atmosphere is amazing but a couple of the tables are so overgrown with plants they are downright uncomfortable. There was a table near us that was re-sat three times as every time somebody sat there they requested to move because the plants were in the way. If the atmosphere gets in the way of eating, there's a problem.
