Built my dirt car engines for over ten years. Very meticulous about cleaning before we assemble. Ran one of his engines for two seasons and only had to replace valve springs due to normal fatigue. Highly recommend his work!
25+ year customer of Frank’s. Best in the business for partial or full rebuilds at a fair price. Frank is the old school type guy who we’ll never be able to replace. He’s built Engines for my AMXs that run flawlessly. Great with custom crossover stuff, ie: Chevy valves on an AMC, custom compression ratios, etc.
Highly recommend.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. Took them 4 weeks to work on a 2J head that I dropped off. When I got it back it was missing a plug for a cooling passage. When I went back to ask for it, Frank said “ it’s was a kid that is part time that work on it, so I don’t know “.
I wouldn't trust my motor components to anybody else. I had the chance to be assisted directly by the business owner and I received the best customer care some one can receive. Big shout out to Frank and his boys at Bear Creek Automotive machine. The service on motor head was exceptional, really good price but best of all was the interaction with the business owner and the personnel. Thanks a lot....!!!!!!!!
I brought in a pair of cylinder heads from a 1996 Toyota 4runner that had a blown head gasket. They were able to re-surface the heads and do a complete valve job. I was pleased with the price and the turn-around time. The owner was honest with me up front about the price of the work and the price actually ended up being a little bit lower than he originally told me. Afterwards, I installed the cylinder heads and the old 4runner runs perfectly now.
Franks is very experienced at all automotive machine work. I've dealt with him for 15 + years. From something as easy as resurfacing a flywheel, rebuilding a cylinder head, a complete engine rebuild or a performance build he's done it all for me and the results have been perfect every time. I would highly recommend.
Took a set of 350 heads from my 70 C10 in a couple months ago. I told them these were original to the truck with a numbers matching block and they made sure everything was spot on when rebuilding the heads. Super friendly, fair price and extremely knowledgeable. Just dropped off the block with new pistons, and can't wait to see how that turns out.
Guys did a great job quick turnaround and friendly service. Had an Audi A4 head rebuilt here when the timing tensioner failed almost 100,000 miles later and it is still going strong with out issue.
