This resort was a great stay. Condos are clean and updated. The resort was able to accommodate an upgrade for us once we checked in. The staff was top notch. The woman who checked us in was fabulous. I told her I wouldn't forget her name, but of course my brain failed me. Our fridge stopped working, all our freezer foods melted and defrosted. The general manager reimbursed me next morning to repurchase our food for the week. I have zero complaints other then the outdoor bugs of north Carolina???? there's an included indoor pool with a small water park area. You can rent games, movies, sports equipment. We're not on the beach or shore but still an amazing location, close to everything you'll need. We'll be back next May.
Beautiful resort! It is in the woods, not the beach, but does have a beach access. You will have to drive to it though. There is parking for the beach that is supposed to be available only to Beachwoods guests, however, you can barely read the sign because it is so faded and the bar to go in the parking area is completely broken off, so the general public uses this parking area. There was still plenty of room when we went. The amenity fee is outrageous, $30/day. We have never paid more than $10 if any per day at any resort we have stayed at and have honestly had more amenities. The outdoor pool was closed, the big green waterslide was closed, the arcade was closed, but the amenity fee still remained the full price. This needs to come down tremendously. Our room was very nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. I do wish the seating in the living room was a bit more comfortable though.
The staff is very friendly and the rooms are spacious. I was really looking forward to the indoor pool and hot tub based on a previous visit. It was my main reason choosing this resort for our anniversary. Unfortunately the indoor pool including hot tub was closed after a door failed inspection. I was very disappointed and mentioned during checkout that we were not able to use the main attraction for our $65 resort fee for a 2 night stay. I have yet to hear back. On the bright side, we had extra free events - hunting a large cockroach in our bedroom in the morning, and a giant ant in the living room that night.
Overall wonderful stay. Unit was 4 bedrooms, was clean and plenty of room for our family. Kids enjoyed the pool & water slide. Disappointed that the big adult slide was not open & by the rusty lock on the gate, hadn’t been open for quite sometime. Concierge was helpful with information & outside reservations.
Beautiful updated unit. Kitchen and rooms were all very nice. Water park for the kids was wonderful. Lots of fun things to do. This resort was close to whatever you wanted to do off resort as well. We will definitely come back.
Very clean. They were apparently bought by Hilton Resorts recently and many things have been renovated/updated. Our suite had plenty of space, was very clean, and very reasonably priced. The property was nestled in behind a Walmart but you would never know as wooded areas provided very good privacy. The indoor pool was a bit over-chlorinated but I'd prefer that when so many kids were utilizing it. Great stay. Very peaceful. Conveniently located right near anything you would need.
Nice place, great location. We prefer high quality bedding and pillows, which you won’t get here, and the cooking supplies are woefully inadequate. But if you’re okay with standard medium-quality bedding and you are going out for your meals, this place is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful.
The grounds and facility were delightful. Quite a different environment for a “beachy area”. The canopies of shade trees, the tranquil lake loaded with turtles watching for evening feeding opportunities from guests. The water park was a fun diversion and allows for fun In the pools and slides even if the weather outside is not quite beach worthy. Can’t wait to come again in the future!
