I hesitated to post a review for this spot because it's our go-to place for beach access in Florence, Oregon and sometimes it feels like a well kept secret. We love taking the dogs out for a run, throwing the Chucki-It as far as possible, a stroll when the puppers tire out and lots of space for putting up chairs and just relaxing for days when less activity is the plan. The only downside is the limited parking for such a huge open beach.
I love coming here being able to park and get out of the car, walka few feet and you're right there on the beach. Makes me feel really good inside. I went on a foggy day and so I actually got to see the sun through the fog. I snapped a few pictures. Great place to take your dog and your family.

Awesome little spot, lots of locals who are super friendly!!!..gets full fast!!! Free is better than the $5 County Dayuse, just down the road!!!!
Short path to the beach. It’s not a marked parking lot but you can still park there for free and make a short walk to the beach. It’s right
next to a hotel. The beach is beautiful. Firmly packed sand for miles, very easy to walk on and even take hover skates on (the sand is that firm).
Easy access to beach. Handful of parking spaces. Not very busy mid-week in April. Visited at low tide so lots of beach to walk!
This beach was perfect for family pictures. We met at mid-day and the beach not crowded at all. We didn't have people running in front of our shots or in our background. This location had very mild wind and was the perfect backdrop for ocean views in Oregon.
My new favorite beach to visit with easy access from the parking lot. Very clean and relaxing location.
Best place on earth is right here on Heceta beach...
