Best WLM Reviews
I'm from California and we have so many banh mi shops to choose from. This place definitely is the best in the area. I ordered the classic and the kbbq beef banh mi. They were very tasty and surprising as I am spoiled in Cali. My only complaint would be with the kbbq banh mi. I wish they used kimchi instead of the typical veggies on the banh mi.
The ease of ordering and delicious banh mi makes this place my new go-to spot for banh mi. Their grilled pork banh mi, slathered in that yummy sauce, hits the spot every time. And the bread has that perfect chewiness, no crumb chaos.
First time have a banh mi. I got the classic, and it was delicious and super filling! Service was quick, we came in on Saturday afternoon. Will visit again!
Someone told me this is her favorite bahn mi place in Atlanta so thought to try. It's good.. we got the classic and Korean BBQ beef. Restaurant space is small.. there are 3 or 4 two seater tables and a bar table by the window. Tables were dirty when we went and dirty napkins at the pick up area. If you go don't dine in.
I have been searching for a good Bahn Mi sandwich shop and this morning on Facebook in the Atlanta Asian restaurant group, someone was speaking about the this place. Since I was heading to that side of town I stopped in and I was glad I did.
I got there at 1:00 in the afternoon and I can see on the printer that there was a numerous sandwiches ordered and someone was on the phone ordering more and I thought well this could take a while. When I placed my order for my sandwich and a tap water as it was called and sat down. Well within 4 minutes I had my sandwich so they definitely were making the sandwiches of someone waiting in the restaurant there was two of us, while someone else was making all the to go orders. There's a picture you can see how many of those orders we're ready to pick up and we're paid while I was eating my sandwich but had been ordered before I did.
Now the sandwich I got the classic regular excellent bread I asked I said they baked their own bread there. Excellent crust on the outside soft on the inside and chewy the meats for excellent fresh cilantro fresh jalapenos fresh onion I was able to add some short sauce it was available anime for perfect sandwich. All three of the workers spoke to me and thank me for my business.
It's a little hard to see from Buford highway I have been to the Chinese restaurant next door a couple of times and they are excellent but now they're permanently closed.
Another thing I found very accommodating was on the sign as you come in on the window it says drinks from outside are okay to bring in, so you can get bubble tea from the tea place next door and bring it in there most restaurants don't allow you to do that I thought that was a plus also they do have a sugar cane press to make fresh squeezed sugar cane drink you don't see that very often in town. Unfortunately with my liver I can't drink it but it sure looked inviting.
I enjoyed mine so much I got two sandwiches to go to take some friends for later. I'll definitely be back here.
Hidden in a shopping center behind buildings, I would have never seen this place if I weren’t looking for a banh mi place nearby. The banh mi’s are pretty good, the sauce they have inside is what really brings it all together. I gave 4 stars because the drinks are one sized and for almost $5 it’s not really worth it. I got the iced coffee and it was half empty with tons of ice. There are other places with better viet coffee. The picture included is when I received the drink without drinking out of it yet.
Edit: If you plan on coming in the morning, call ahead so you’re not waiting long. Today on a Friday morning there are 3 workers only and they have several huge orders. Came in and have been waiting for 35 mins for 2 banh mi’s. Sitting here I notice one of the workers keeps rubbing her forehead while making the sandwiches with the gloves on several times...which is gross. This same girl keeps going back to her laptop from behind the counter which doesn’t really help the other two employees make the sandwiches any faster, very counter productive.
The service here is regularly bad but especially my visit today.
The cashier, Hien H Nguyen, asked if I wanted the veggies on the side for my sandwiches but I did not completely catch what he was saying. He repeated the question and sounded annoyed. I have never been asked this the couple of times I have been here. I said that inside the sandwich is fine. He told me in advance that the wait time may be 10-15 minutes which I agreed to. I patiently waited 30+ minutes because they looked busy, progressively wanting to follow up on my order. Even if I did attempt to grab their attention, half of them are wearing airpods and minding their own business in front of their customers.
Eventually, I stood closer to the register to make it known that I am waiting on my order soon. The employee finally acknowledged me and asked for my order number. He goes over to where the completed orders are kept and finds mine. I got upset because he made me wait a total of 40 minutes for my order because he never called my number nor made the attempt to wave me down when I was literally sitting at the round table closest to the register. And I truly believe it was out of retaliation for two reasons: I did not understand his question about the vegetables and he witnessed that I skipped the tip option (due to my interactions during my previous visits) when processing my payment.
At the very least, the sandwiches are good.
Be banh mi located right next to tea house Formosa, the space is pretty small with a few tables for people to sit. Their banh mi and toppings was really good and the employees was very nice. The only reason why I only gave a 4 star was bc service was really slow.... I’ll cut them some slacks and just call in next time and just pick it up. Other than that this place is a must!!!!
