I had the rib and chicken combo. It was delicious. The portion sizes are very large. I took most of my dinner home. Our waitress was very prompt and courteous.
This was my first time visiting the new location, the food was on point, service was great and it really embodies the old restaurants cozy yet comfortable atmosphere. We had the ribs and brisket, the brisket was better than I remembered and the ribs were just good as before. I guess we made the right decision of going for the grand re-opening rather than the fist time they opened.
Was not a pleasant experience. A one star is being generous. We were 4 adults and 2 children. We had reservations at 6pm and arrived at 5:45pm. Got seated at 6:00 which was fine we were there “2 Hours” before we got our food. The food came and the only thing that was hot were the beans. The Ribs were barely warm and very tough. The waitress was very gracious and very apologetic. The problem was definitely in the kitchen and the management. I spoke to the owner and he obviously has know people or customer skills, pretty much clueless. There were many other customers that were discussed, I understand there are issues when you first open a business but this was beyond that. Not at all like the old Rib Shack. We won’t be back...
Did not care for the sauce or the ribs. Was a little disappointed that there was no sauce options. It's always nice to have more than one option. Also it was a little thick and way too much. Loved the coleslaw! Also, enjoyed the little tub of water at table for finger cleaning!! The place was beautifully decorated. The staff was very nice and helpful. My husband's beef tips were cold in the middle, so disappointed about reheated food.
Our first time there today and last. Wife was excited to try it out. When we got there we sat for 10 mins waiting for service. There was only one other table with people there. We placed our order. I ordered ribs and brisket, the ribs were extremely tough and absolutely no taste. The brisket wasn't tough, but barely warm and tasteless. My wife ordered brisket and was very disappointed also. If all you go for is coleslaw, then this is your place. We lived and learnt 42 dollars later. I'm am not a picky eater, but this wasn't a good experience at all.
There was a slight problem with our Ribs today and they all went above and beyond to fix the problem.. Our waitress was AMAZING! I forgot to get her name.. The food was great, didnt wait long at all and walked out satisfied... Excellent experience today!! Keep up the great work!!!
We won't be back. The food was ok the service was terrible. 2 tables walked out and another was talking very loudly about it while we were there. My son asked if he could get his sandwich on Texas toast instead of a bun and the waitress said sure but then charged me FIVE DOLLARS more for 2 pieces of Texas toast. She was also complaining very loudly about how a server didn't show up to work and nothing would be done because they were related to the owner. She was complaining about the place and coworkers to every person that would listen. She couldn't figure out how the credit card machine worked or what types of cards they even took. A lady asked if she could write a check and ended up standing up there 10 minutes while they debated in the back whether they accepted checks or not. The staff got in an argument over who was responsible for answering the phone and 2 phone calls went unanswered because they all refused to answer the phone. Super sad because Rib Shack was always a favorite but I can assure you we won't be going there again.
Our food was delicious and and the staff was friendly and attentive. We were served our food in a very short time. We had the rib dinners and our only complaint was one of the baked potatoes was a little on the cool side. Otherwise our experience was perfect.
