Never a bad meal or company here! Absolutely loved the plate lunch of ribs, baked beans(best I ever had), loaded baked potatoe, and rolls. Sooo delicious and so cozy here. A must for locals or visitors. Also check out sister location in brusly.
Friendly local hangout, just the place I was looking for :) Cold beer, good conversation and quick service what's not to like? I was here on a Saturday night and there was no smoke at all as other reviewers have said. A couple patrons went outside to have a smoke however. They also have a monster burger challenge, I don't have the appetite to attempt it bit would love to order it as a two person meal.
We use to eat here all the time but not anymore. Lots of times when you order something from the menu they don't have it. Their Bread Pudding was awesome but now they never have it even though it's still on the menu. Bayou Shack was fantastic and we really enjoyed going but now not so much. BUT.... The employees are always so nice and helpful. We have nothing negative to say about anyone we've ever met that worked here. 100 % Satisfied With Customer Service!
Our family used to order dinner from there a few times a month & always recommended it to others because the food was great & so were the employees but not anymore! Not sure what happened within the last year or so but this place has gone downhill. In September I swore I'd never order from there again after my daughter's hamburger steak and gravy dinner was missing the gravy and made her sick and the portion size of my boys' shrimp dinners was reduced more than half from the previous time we ordered. But tonight, after spending over an hour in traffic and too tired to cook, I decided to give them another shot. BIG MISTAKE! The portion sizes are even smaller now and my hamburger steak and gravy that was supposed to have fries, had mashed potatoes instead and the potatoes and gravy was mixed into the coleslaw. Thinking it couldn't get any worse, I sit down at the table to eat, cut into my hamburger steak to find the middle is still pink and pulled out pieces of raw ground meat. So basically, I just threw away $50. NEVER AGAIN!
Very impressed with the food here. It was like home away from home.
I loved bayou shack when I go in the always have amazing foods and great deals for them and they are nice as can be
Smelled good but didn't get to try anything sorry I couldn't coment on flavor.
