Best WLM Reviews
This place is disgusting. There’s mold behind the AC and in bathroom. I saw roaches crawling around. And we have a three day stay, we couldn’t get fresh towels, or an ice bucket. Will not be back to this one. Front seat was amazing, and the area is good. Hotel definitely not cleaned like it should be.
I'm not even sure how this hotel was rated 2.6 stars. My family and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend for our family reunion. We traveled from Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne, Texas, etc to Detroit and was welcomed to very rude staff at the front desk, particularly the front desk "manager" Jeremy. His demeanor and the way he spoke to my family was very nasty & unprofessional. We booked maybe about 15 rooms and almost every single one of us had an issue... no hot water, air conditioning not working, the hotel keys did not work, dirty tub/shower, no linen & towels. We were told we could wash the towels we were already given because they didn't have enough to give us and they also said this would cost us $1. We planned a pool party on Saturday for the children and right before it was supposed to begin, we were told that the pool closes every Saturday between 11am - 3pm for cleaning. Our party was supposed to be 11am - 4pm. This was a huge inconvenience for us and none of this information was told to us when these plans were made MONTHS ago when these rooms were blocked off for us. All in all, everything was horrible but I can say that the housekeeping staff were friendly and tried to accommodate us the best way they could with what they had. We made the best of our stay because we were all there for a good cause but I would NOT recommend this place to a soul.
Baymont/ Victory (they switched names supposedly or go by both)
We rented out a king size room. When we got in the room we could not even turn the light on, my husband noticed the light was missing a bulb. We then went to the fridge and noticed it was still dirty. My husband was already in the restroom where he then noticed there was tissue already in the toilet. I told him ooo noo let's call down and ask for another room the alarm clock was broke, and when I picked up the phone to call help desk I noticed the phone was disconnected. So we pack our things and proceeded to the front desk. We explained what was going on and he immediately said he was sorry and gave us another room. Remind u he didn't even seem to find this information shocking. So we went to the next room ,we instantly began to observe. Fridge still dirty the lights work& no clock. We figured ok it's still bad but maybe we can get thru the night. We began to get ready for bed where I then noticed stains on sheets. My husband was then very frustrated. I went to take a shower and instantly started washing up in the sink because I noticed a dirty wash cloth in the shower and a dirty ring in the tub. So I do not recommend this hotel to no one. I wish I would have took the time to read the reviews. And hope whom ever reading this choose somewhere else to lay there head. MARCH /2022
Breakfast here is good. There were sausage and eggs, along with waffle makers and many other options.
However, overall, this facility is quite dated. There is a stale smell throughout the building. The carpet looks quite dingy and I hesitated to walk around barefoot. Most of the outlets were damaged and the plugs simply fell out.
Also, our room had two doors, one opening to the hall way and one opening to the pool area. This seemed nice, until we were woken up at 3am by a group of people who decided to party just outside of our pool door. We called the front desk (from our cell phones because there are no room phones) and went up to the front desk to complain personally before the issue was resolved.
We won't be staying here again. Hopefully, they can turn things around.
I had gotten 2 rooms yesterday one king size and one room with two queen size beds. When walking into the building I was told that I could not use cash when I specifically asked when I made my reservation and the women said I could. The front of the building was clean but as my family and I walked to the elevator it smelled like weed coming from the employee area. Also the door was cracked open with an egg and a banana peel on the floor. We gotten into the elevator that smelled like trash we went into our first room where is was your average hotel for 75 dollars and I went to check my king size room and the blankets were on the ground not made up, I then tried to call the front seat but the phone did not work at all. I had gotten another room which was another queen size bed even though that’s not what I paid for I kept the room but the door was so hard to open we almost had to break into the room! Over all the staff was nice but the place definitely needs some better heat in the lobby and pool area because my kids where freezeing cold. Although it is winter they should still have heat! Lastly my son is two years old put his face on a chair (I caught him as soon as it happened) but his face swelled up.! I’m very disappointed in my experience and will not come back!
My very first impression of the hotel when I pulled up was that it was the absolute 2 star hotel. We walked in and was immediately hit by the worst smell we have smelled in a while. We got into our room: the carpet looks like it have not been cleaned in years, candy was on the side of box sprain, cobb webs hanging from the ceiling. There was no role of toilet paper only a box of tissue. I asked front for a roll and he didn't know where the hotel kept it. The next day I asked for a clean fitted sheet and the staff at the front desk said he was unable to get me a new sheet because the housekeeping with gone for the day. This experience was not very good at all. And on top of all of that the pool area was down. The TV was in out on certain channels, the volume was lower than other channels, the shower faucet was barely hanging on. I will not ever agree that this is a 3 star hotel.
If you live through the experience with the riff-raff hanging outside the lobby doors, you would wish you did not make it inside. Seriously arrived late at night and I thought I was in the Bronx, I was afraid to get out of my car. When I got inside to check in, the person behind the desk did not really pay attention to the fact I was the guest, he was too busy speaking to his friend leaning on the counter ripping language worse than a prison guard. I got to my room, filthy and hot, no air, the phone actually had no cords, I could not call the front desk if I wanted to. The fridge was broke, however my guest who stayed in another room did not have a fridge at all or a phone but he did have a phone cord. Folded my bedding back and there was leftover washed in faded blood spots. This was a disgusting hotel. The mold in the shower was horrendous and really awful. The windows in my room overlooked the pool that people were swimming in at 2am screaming and yelling and making all kinds of noise. The hallways smelt like mildew and were hotter than my room, like an oven. I went outside to check on my car several times as the people hanging around the parking lot were not very impressive.
0 stars At first glance it seem like a pretty solid place to stay. The photo were very deceiving. The place was filthy! The couches were saturated with stains, the head board had stains, the carpet was saturated and stained. The furniture was falling apart also the dishes were dirty . When I informed the front desk and inform them of the suspect stains on the front and back of the couch cushions .I was given sheet to cover the couch.I asked for new pots and pans because the ones that were in the room were dirty I was given back the same dirty pan . The list goes on and on I’ll let the photos tell the story
