We booked a room because we were visiting family in town and were looking forward to taking the kids to the pool. The website says their pool was supposed to have reopened a week prior. However, when we got there we were told it was under repair and wouldn't be open for another few months.
When we checked in we were told there was no hot water, but a guy was coming to fix it. Hours later I had to ask for an update, and was told it was broken and needed to be replaced. We had booked a room with a Jacuzzi which we were no longer able to use on top of not being able to take a warm shower.
The toilet was broken when we got to the room, my husband had to reattach the chain to the handle. The hide-a-bed mattress was broken with the springs popping out of one corner.
The hallway smelled very musty and aggravated my allergies.
We will never be staying here again.
This was the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed for 2 nights. I didn't get the room that I had booked; not even close. When I checked in, I was told that there was no hot water and that they were working on it. I stayed there 2 nights (Sat to Mon) and there was not one drop of hot water when I checked out on Monday am. Had to take a "sink bath". My bed was a little softer than a concrete floor. Internet was not a safe connection for me to use on either of my devices. Ice machine was broken, trash and cigarette butts all over the property, garbage can was full when I checked in Saturday and afternoon. By Monday am, it was overflowing to the point people set their garbage on the concrete next to it. It smelled like urine outside my door. This place needs a major update. I would sleep in my car at the gas station across the street before I'd ever step foot in here again.
Front desk guy (Vamshi)was super nice and very accommodating. Rooms were clean, has a pool but it is in maintenance I asked to front desk guy he said to me it takes two weeks to ready.In breakfast waffle was good. Highly recommended to stay!!
Did not see any hotel staff anywhere at any time during the stay. Towels were stained. Mattress was uncomfortable. Coffee was atrocious. Pool was out of service. You are better off driving the extra miles to either Rochester or Owatonna. Only saving grace was the bar/grill next door.
Positive: Price and location were both good. Negative: It kind of had an unusual but not horrible overall smell. And the next morning I went to take a shower and ran water for 15 minutes and still had no HOT water, which was very disappointing to me. Negative: ""
If I could give zero stars I would. The exterior of the hotel should have been our first clue. It was severely outdated, our room was gross, the carpet I feared to walk on, the black out curtains had holes in them, the bathroom ceiling was all rusted, I would not shower in there because it seemed gross and dirty, we never had a bar of soap, there was never any person at the desk, we could feel the springs in our bed and it had a huge divot in it. It's cheap and a place to rest your head but it was definitely on the top 3 of worst hotels I have ever stayed in.
This hotel is gross. The smell of cats fills the hallways. Bedding stains. Bathrooms are dirty. I demanded a refund and left almost immediately. I highly recommend spending the extra forty dollars at a real hotel.
First signed was that the parking lot was the only parking lot amongst local businesses that was still not plowed. Second sign, when you first step in, the place has a different odor. Not completely horrible that makes you want to leave but just shouldnt be. The guy at the front desk was very nice and honest. We did not end up staying here cause the room that we specifically wanted had an odor as well. If something doesn't change at this location, I would be surprised if they are open in a year from now and if the are I can only assume they would be operating in the red.
