None of the doors shut properly for either of our rooms or any of the surrounding rooms and needed to be forced shut and still left a gap. Breakfast had a decent amount of options but the breakfast room was incredibly too small for the amount of guests. Pool was nice but the hot tub needed to be cleaned.
Clean with friendly staff and a very bountiful, free breakfast. Front desk staff was helpful and jovial. Pool and hot tub were in working order. Pool was warm. Furnishings were fairly new. Not a fancy hotel, but comfortable.
This was my first time at this location. Upon checking in, the front desk lady was on the phone with someone about a problem with a charge. It took at least 5 minutes before she even acknowledged I was standing right in front of her. This hotel does not have an elevator, just a side note. The hallway walls and doors are very beat up looking. Our room looked to be somewhat remodeled. It smelled horribly like stale cigarettes though I wasn't very impressed with my stay overall. The breakfast was nice though and the lady working by that area was nice. I more than likely will not return.
The staff is very friendly and professional. I came to visit my sister for a surprise for her 60th birthday. I arrived Wednesday and departed Saturday. The room needs a few updates. The lamps had rust on the stand. And the door jams to the restroom had water damaged and the wood needs to be replaced. The peephole had something stuck in it I was unable to get it out. The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. I pulled the filter to the air conditioner and it was very dirty. I did clean them. The bathroom had mold along where the tub and The tile connect. The room just needs some TLC and it would be a nice place to stay.
I had a good time and good location to downtown. Only big downfall is with this being a "dog friendly" hotel and paying extra there is no where for them to relive themselves which to me is crazy. Only grass is in front of hotel by the main road, they should have a designated area for dogs to go potty.
Good and well maintained hotel. We usually stay there for short trip to the west side of the state. ||Grand Haven beach and state park is only few miles away from the hotel. Hotel has pool and hot but if you are going to stay during weekends then you might have to wait until late night to use the pool and the hot tub because young kids occupy the pool and hot hub. It is a kids and pet friendly hotel. Guest room doors are too loud when any guest next door, across the room, hallway walks in and out of their room. We did not have a good night rest the last time we stayed at the hotel. We stayed few times at this hotel and it is close to the beach and state park.
We stayed at Baymont in Grand Haven during the Tulip Festival which means the hotel was booked to capacity. We had nice accommodations, however, we were disappointed that the room was dusty and the gym was not available. We were too tired after a long road trip to change rooms so I didn't alert staff until checkout. The manager was extremely apologetic after hearing of our experience. He did state that the hotel does offer a discount at a local facility but I was not offered that upon our arrival when I asked about the gym. I think that we were in a section that normally does not get used, however, I wished it had been inspected before we arrived. Hotel has friendly staff, good breakfast and a manager who cares about customers so be sure to give him a chance to make it right.
Very kind folks, clean, breakfast was great and coffee is always available. We stayed for almost 4 weeks. Pool was a beautiful bonus, and the hot tub was a great plus. Fresh fruit is always available as well.
