I sincerely never post things like this(I know everyone who says that usually complains regularly but I don’t and yes I did try to resolve with them orior to posting)…but I hope this saves someone else the headache. Very disappointing first experience at Bay Nails in Chester. I went yesterday for a Gel x manicure and less than 12 hours later every nail has split and fallen off because they were not applied by the tech correctly. Bay Nails has refused to refund me only offering to reapply them ($75 plus a $20 tip - of course I’m not asking for the tip back just the service fee of $75). I would totally understand and would be open to them reapplying if it was 1 or 2 nails however, for all 10 to split and fall off in under 12 hours is ridiculous.
After such a horrible experience I’m not comfortable nor do I have the time to go back in to have them reapplied as I had hired a sitter to even go. Disputing with my credit card company but buyer beware.
I have had wonderful experiences with some of the technicians and not so good experiences with others.
For a $55 dollar acrylic fill plus tip you would expect more.

I’ve never had a pedicure where the polish came off after 3 days. It came off of 3 toes.
No idea how this place got such a good rating. Not particularly clean, they have a paltry selection of regular polishes (lots of gel, dip, but very few regular) and the price was high for a mediocre job. Just happened to be in the area so I stopped but they charge $7 more for a regular mani than my regular place which does a much better job and is half an hour away. 3 stars was being generous imo
I had an amazing first experience here after I walked in with tears flowing down my face from a horrible ombré nails fiasco at another local salon. They immediately agreed to fix my nails. Nina worked me into her busy schedule and gave me the gorgeous ombré nails I wanted just in time for graduation. She also talked to me like I was family even though we had just met. So grateful for Bay Nails and Nina- I will definitely be going back!
They did an excellent job removing my full set dip and doing a regular manicure. I had an awful experience in the past at another salon that removed my acrylics and they were super gentle. I really appreciated it!!
This place has really gone downhill fast. I’ve gone several times and had a good experience with no issues. My last appointment was horrible. The nail technician doing my pedicure had no idea what she was doing. You could barely tell I had gotten a manicure, which was done by a different technician. The polish came off my toes almost immediately and my nails lasted maybe a few days. So disappointing.
