Baxter's had the friendliest waitstaff and the food was incredible! Ordered the fish and chips. Tender, delicious, and beautifully presented. However, upwards of $25 for one serving. But the view of the harbour is beautiful and the interior is charmingly quaint.
Great place. Great food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful views of the water. Watch passing ships and boats. Enjoy a cozy relaxing environment. Friendly staff. Many different seating options. Definitely a must visit place
So this was a great find after several people told me it was good. Right on the water with both indoor and outdoor seating. Harbor is busy between fishing and the ferry. Food was excellent and I had a few of the local drafts. Service was awesome-young kids working hard and they were polite and fast. Parking was also pretty good. Keep in mind this was the second week of June midweek so things may vary further into the season.
Would definitely come back. Kid friendly with great menu options for everyone-kids adults fish and non fish options.
This place was just what we needed and with two little kids! Exceeded all expectations. We had the fish and chips and chowder and we left there thinking about it. On top of the outstanding food, the staff was more than welcoming all the way from the gentlemen helping us park to the hostess seating us and then there was Ryan who was hands down one of the best waiters we have ever had. As someone in the industry Ryan was very impressive. Thank you for an amazing, happy experience can’t wait to go back!
This is a great place to go for seafood and drinks. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is casual and fun. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal in a relaxed setting.
If you're looking for a really "air conditioned" cool place to go this isn't the place but if you're looking for a place to get away from everybody else and to have a beautiful view of the water this is the place. It's a little bit more of a walk but the food was good and very fast. The clam chowder was good but the seafood bisque was amazing.
I’ve been here dozens of times over the past 30 years but last night, dining with a college friend, just us, 2 women, in our 60’s was an encouraging EYE opener. First, the hostesses at the door happily greeted us and seated us without looking around to see who else was in our party, the waitress from Croacia, could not have been more accommodating, and another waitress offered to help us move our out door seats to another outdoor section. When we changed our mind neither waitress was curt with us. Both were respectful and attentive. The lobster salad sand was huge, incredibly tender, no added celery, fresh toasted roll, hot and crispy French fries, the lobster bisque and clam chowder thick without additives. The Martini was a bit weak but the Cosmo was perfect. Thank you for being a consistent cape cod favorite.
This local favorite delivered and satisfied our palate. Seated outside we enjoyed scenic harbor views while we dined on lobster rolls and fish sandwiches. Highly recommend this authentic fish and chips place. Friendly staff made our dinner the best.
