Best WLM Reviews

Such a fantastic atmosphere at Bavette’s. Old school dark wood steakhouse with a great classic vibe. Be sure you have a reservation well in advance. Our server was excellent, attentive but not overly hovering. The bartender was great, and specialty drinks were well worth the $$. Their old fashions are excellent as was the Lillet Rose Martini. For appetizer you must try the bacon - pictured here. Steaks were good, well cooked, but nothing overly memorable from a flavor profile. All the sides were solid, especially loved the Brussel sprouts. Highly recommend a stop here when in Vegas.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is great. Dimly lit with music playing at just the right level. Our server was Josh. We didn’t see him for quite a while after being seated. This was a Wednesday around 6pm. My husband had the fried chicken and enjoyed it; however there were several bits that had to be discarded / not a great cut of chicken. I had the short rib. I was so very disappointed. As one of my favorite dishes I was excited to enjoy it. The meat was just plain bad. Poorly cut, chopped in very uniform square pieces- gristle and fat. I had maybe 3 bites. We were disappointed when the server and his assistant both ignored the virtually full plate and did not inquire why I didn’t eat or enjoy it. We won’t be back and that’s a shame. Had they noticed and made it right we would recommend and return.
This is a very interesting rating for me because although our food was literally an hour late, I'm still giving this place a 5 star rating. You might ask yourself how can that be?
The answer is very simple, it's called excellent customer service! Our server Randall who was the ultimate veteran pro understood that they messed up (not his fault). Management became aware of this and they ended up comping our whole dinner (excluding our bottle of wine and drinks). So at the end, I was good with this and despite what happened I can still leave a happy camper and give Bavette's their flowers.
Now to the food which was excellent! We both got medium fillet mignons cooked to perfection. Along with a side of the charred broccoli. I don't usually do dessert at restaurants but we got the chocolate cream pie and I think that might have been even better than the main dish :,-). It paired really well with the Washington Merlot that we got earlier. Bavette's cocktail game is very strong too with a very solid list of classics like the negroni and dirty martini which we had and other original creations.
Last thing to note here is the overall atmosphere and feel of this place which is very authentic 20's, old world, Gatsby, speakeasy type vibe and it went in line with the hotel that we were staying at (Nomad).
I can easily call this one of the best steakhouses in the USA. The ambiance is beautiful and the service is impeccable. Every dish from the dry-aged ribeye to the thick-cut bacon was outstanding. The chicken was flavourful, the brussel sprouts were crisp and had a unique char, and the mashed potatoes were velvety smooth. Even the chocolate ice cream was exceptionally thick and creamy. The cocktails, especially the Old Fashioned, are among the best I’ve ever had. The attentive service was the cherry on top—my water glass was never empty. Highly recommend for a top-notch dining experience!
I really wanted to like this meal more but still gave it 5 stars. Great service and wonderful atmosphere earned them. However, the food was just okay for us.
Started with steak tartar which was delicious as well as the garlic shrimp. For the mains we got the black cod which was great. Sadly we did not enjoy the steaks. The steak frites was just okay and the dry aged NY strip was not to our taste (maybe it was the dry age part). Sides were also just okay - we didn’t like the mushrooms or the smoked salmon Caesar salad.
Bavette is definitely a great place but make sure you like dry aged beef.
The setting and atmosphere is great! The greeters and servers were very nice. However, a good server would have asked my wife why she only ate 2 bites of her short rib pasta and was done. It was terrible. I tried a bite and swear there is better meat in frozen dinners. This was very disappointing. I had the “spicy” fried chicken with had zero spice but was really good. The cut of chicken used was subpar though and I couldn’t eat half of it. Also the mashed potatoes that came with the chicken was bland, pretty sure it was from a mix. I know y’all have a built in business and don’t have to try. But for the prices y’all charge you should do better.
This food looked delicious! Tasted mediocre considering it was so expensive, and then we got sick after eating it.????The staff was outstanding when it came to customer service and experience, I just felt that the food was not worth the price. I will say that my girlfriend and I did order steaks on the cheaper end of the menu, but with that in mind we shouldn’t be getting sick from the food. No bad feelings to the lovely staff, just didn’t meet our expectations for a $150 dinner.
We have been to this resturant for our 9th anniversary. Resturant vibe is so good and designed very well
Got 2 coctails based on recommadation. Bith coctails were too sweet and it wasn't my prefrence.
For food we had mac n cheese, dry age steak and salad.
The salad was good with right amount of sauce and seasoning and the pork slices were tasty and juicy.
The mac n cheese was good too but nothing speciall about it, specially it was supposed to be truffle mac n cheese but i didn't taste any truffle in it.
The steak was a bit of dissapoint.
It was coocked to what I asked perfectly, however it was supposed to be a 45 days dry age steak rib eye. The taste wasn't something like dry age at all and the tenderness wasn't there. The funginess taste of dry aging for 45 days should be very strong and I found the steak is more like a meidum quality fresh meat.
Overally it wasn't a bad experince.
