Have tried numerous times to call and set up a service appointment but calls go straight to voicemail and with no call back. As a VW enthusiast, I was hoping this would be a great shop but I was sorely disappointed.

Doug is very honest and reasonable. He does not charge the standard book time. If it is 2 hours book time but only takes him 1 hour, he will only charge for 1 hour. Finds good pricing for parts and does not charge a high markup. I recommend him highly.

I am speechless! This man is amazing! Did not realize there were still good people in this world! If you have a VW bring it here! I explained how many times I had been ripped off at the VW dealership on the Carlisle Pike and Doug went out of his way to help me. He cares about your car and is very honest. HIGHLY recommend!

Doug kept my '87 Golf running like new for 23 years until my spouse made me sell it because it didn't have an air bag! 250K miles. The guy who bought it was tickled pink to have found one of that vintage in such good condition.

I have been taking my VW's to Doug Baum for over 20 years. He is the absolute best. He is honest and fair. I will not go to anybody else and sometimes have to wait a month to get in to see him but it's well worth the wait in the long run. Doug and his crew are one of a kind. You don't find places like his around anymore.

Great guy. Has checked out my two VWs and I always appreciated his input. He was never out to nickel and dime anyone I've talked to and it was really refreshing meeting someone that seems to work on these cars because he likes them instead of doing it as "just a job." He has always lent me a hand and knowing that I was struggling with money, he looked over a car for me and didn't even accept any money when I went to pay him. He is busy and it's for a good reason. Take your VW to Doug :) Side note: as far as I know, he does take off Fridays but he is in early and leaves late Monday through Thursday (except holidays) so he should be able to work with your schedule.

Excellent service. Doug is straight talker but really nice at the same time. You will receive right advice from him about your car. Mr. Baum is a very genuine and professional man. Took care of my issue in a timely manner, and blew me away with his knowledge and generosity. Highly recommend for anything pertaining to VW and auto repair!
