If you’ve been searching for a FUN fall adventure with your pup, I highly recommend Barton’s Orchard upstate!! It’s about a 2-2.5hr drive depending on traffic and it’s a huge orchard with farm animals, little shops, craft vendors, outdoor games, live music, bakery, food trucks, distillery, pumpkin picking AND apple picking where your pup is allowed WITH you!! It was extremely dog friendly and such a blast. My husband and I went yesterday and there was still many apples in season!! We’ll definitely be going back next year ????????????????
Very tasty apples, apple dumplings, and cider (there's also cookies, other pastries & donuts but we didn't get any). Overall decent experience, but MAKE SURE there's no special events in the day of, or expect to wait on line for at least 40 minutes to an hour in the parking fields (there's 2 of them, front and back) before getting in. Dogs are welcomed, plenty of parking (total about ~500 parking spaces). Also be aware there's only porta potties for bathrooms (at least when it's a big event day). On event days there's live bands, food trucks, and kids playgrounds and dog run and dog events.
Went for sunflower festival. Was really nice. 80 for 3 of us, though a little steep but, once your in and see all that they have to do it. It was worth it, pet friendly was nice too, dog park was split in two. Large breed side and small breed side which was nice. Food choice were ok. Only a couple food trucks but still worked. Lots for the kids to do. Had a good afternoon. Will go again.
Barton Orchards has always been so fun and full of family fun activities! For the price they charge you get to do so much. Once you pay admission you have access to all activities with the exception of food and goods you can purchase inside. We took the hay ride to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch which was really nice. Then went to the Fun Zone which has mini golf, go karts, huge slides and more! We did the corn maze which was so fun! And if you go you MUST try the freshly made apple cider donuts they’re sooooo good! They get packed fast but it’s worth it!
This farm is amazing! ???? I popped over to grab some apples, thinking I'd zip in and out in a couple of hours. Guess what? I stayed the whole day! ???? It's like an adventure park out here – super cool slides, a playground that's every kid's dream, and a corn maze that's like a mini adventure. And the animals! Goats and llamas that are just too cute! ????❤️????
Missed out on live music 'cause it was a weekday, but hey, that's just another reason to come back! ???? And the food? Yum! There's this little bar stand where they serve cider and beer (wish they had bottles though ????). But let me tell you, the cider donuts are to die for! ????????
Already planning my next trip for more apple-picking fun. See you next year, awesome farm! ????????????
The place is beautiful lots to do, not awful in price if it's 2 of you but when there are 5 or 6 it's super expensive, especially if you are the parent paying for your children. The admission includes 2 sunflowers per paid admission, to buy food ouch. Dropped another 60 on ice cream. It's a beautiful place for a date, if you are on a budget not the place for you. I gave it 5 stars ???? because it's a lovely day event with gorgeous scenery.
Beautiful farm. Great for kids all age, family. Yes, you can apple picking, pet the animals always being respectful to them, and feed them too. Cool spots to take pics, there's a farmers market, food place. Can't wait to come back!
The entry fee was $20 per person, We were 4 so we paid $82 total. We went there because I saw they were having a food truck festival and we decided to check it out. They had lots of foods to choose from with reasonable prices, they also had beer and hard cider for $9 per cup. Apple cider donuts ???? and a 5 minute hay ride. They have a very small petting zoo area, lots of space, fun activities for the little ones and live music. I think it was a bit overpriced just for the entrance and for what they offer during the summertime (meaning NO fruits to pick from) but it was just ok. There are other farms in the area that don’t charge an entry fee or less and they are just as fun as this one.
