SOMEONE IS RUINING THEIR BAGEL REP. Lately the bagels have been very flat and hard, not big, fluffy and airy like they used to be. Usually not as fluffy and well cooked anymore. I guess it depends on the mood of whoever is making them. Got some the other day and they didn't even seem fully cooked. They were flatter and mushy inside. NO love in it at all, you could taste the resentment of whoever made them. Biggest complaint: Staff is NOT friendly. They seem to be VERY annoyed and bothered by customers in store. They're too busy to be bothered with us and their face shows it EVERY TIME. Pay attention next time you go in. ????Heres an idea: hire a front counter worker just for the people who come in, so we don't get attitude for not ordering online. If a halfway decent bagel place with good service opened up, they'd be in trouble. Please let a new bagel ship come to town. Maybe they will start giving a shi* again.
I am sorry I do not remember her name. She was very helpful and accomodating. I was able to pick up my trays of bagels and get them into the city of Philly for my mom's service (repast). I really appreaciate what she and the staff did for me. The bagels were a hit. Thank you!
Food is consistently packaged incorrectly by the kids. Names are often switched, incorrect, or taken by the wrong person from the table due to this (Sarah with Susan). Owner/Manager is incredibly rude, uninterested with helping customers and admits he’s “not easy to deal with”. We’ve been patrons for years, missing the previous owners so very much. We’ll never return and we suggest you do not ruin your Sunday mornings as well. Yes, we’ve spoken to the employees and owner. Yes, we’ve left our food and asked them for and our refund in a timely fashion. This is the last and final time we’ll ever go. Such a disaster of an establishment. Who runs out of bagels at a bagel shop? You should evaluate inventory weekly. Please do not respond with “you have no record of our order”. I’ll be more than happy to provide the receipt for Stumpf or Mone.
Floor was filthy and sticky. We waited 25 minutes for a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was so hard to chew that my mouth hurt all day. These are not new york bagels.
First time to this location. Walked in very friendly environment. They had a lot of bags on the side for pickup ( good sign ). Ordered the jalapeño & cheddar bagel BEC sandwich with hot sauce & ketchup. Bagel was fresh soft seemed boiled, sandwich pretty flavorful. Only negative very tiny sandwich a few strips of bacon no more then two slices and one egg. More bagel then sandwich. Would recommend a bagel with just a spread. Over all not the worst bagel sandwich I’ve ever had.
Update: came back & ordered same sandwich was better this time around w/ more meat.
Only place around with true New York style bagels. Wish they would still be as customer friendly as old owners and gave you a "baker's dozen" when buying loose bagels. Ordering online is easy but need to improve the app to show all available flavors, not just the "standards." really wanted asiago or jalipino ☹️ cute display though
I have given this place numerous opportunities and unfortunately it’s now a NO for me. you guys suck at listening at what the customer wants. I’ve ordered here multiple times and I have paid for multiple things, and every-time each item I get is wrong. Today, I ordered a simple sandwich BEC, on an onion bagel…the only thing I did differently was I added a hash brown on the sandwich. ONCE AGAIN, I did NOT receive it on the sandwich or even in the bag! This place sucks they charge you, and you don’t even receive what you paid for.
Picked up my to go order on Saturday at 10am. They were out of everything bagels as usual. We got sesame and poppy bagel which were stale and had mold. Tried to call and email to get refund and were never contacted. This business doesn't care about happy customers. Won't go back.
