Alright, I really wanted to like, like this place…. But can we be real here it’s a pumped up version of Tijuana Flats.
The atmosphere is on point, they have a nice Bar and the staff…so,so.
Everything the food came in was disposable, not sure if that’s a good thing or not. Just a lot of waste. I’m not a super stickler when it comes to regular trash and recycling, but there is a level of class when you want to go out and dine, everything is in plastic?! Really!! Even the utensils. I did like that you get to create your own taco by filling in all the blanks. you have no excuse to yell at the server when you clearly messed up, so nice job. It’s less interaction and more like rolling up to a McDonald’s window…. What number, what drink, and is there anything else you want to add. It has its pros and cons. All in all, I’d say three out of five. I wasn’t blown away and I wasn’t disappointed. Definitely not kicking and screaming to go back…..
My take on it - I definitely ordered well for it being my first time at this place! Did not disappoint. Drink: Tulum in Bloom ???? Food: La Tierra Taco + El Jefe Loco Taco (very savory and mouth watering).
Barrio hits the mark in all the right ways. It's the kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel at ease. The atmosphere is lively and vibrant, making it perfect for catching up with friends. The staff, particularly Nathalie at the entrance and Ashley M. as our server, are friendly, creating a welcoming vibe that adds to the overall experience. Plus, the food is top-notch without breaking the bank. Just as good as the NE Ohio locations. Kind servers, good space, and amazing drinks!! Not your most authentic taco joint but good times all around still.
Went here for a quick lunch and it was pretty good! Lots of gluten free options clearly marked on the menu and my server was knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions. Chip and salsa were very good. I did a build your own bowl with chicken and probably would get a different protein next time. The chicken was kinda dry/tasted reheated but other than that the bowl was pretty solid for the price. Food came out extremely fast which was great for me. I definitely want to come back and try some different options and cocktails.
I've been here 5 times so this should be a pretty well rounded review. All 5 times I had a consistent experience.
The tacos are unique and taste fresh. The tortilla options and combos you can make are unique. I must say sometimes it's annoying how it's not mixed and you get a giant bite of sauce with no meat.... but that happens and could potentially be due to my eating style.
The extensive drink menu is fairly price and the atmosphere with murals etc is pretty cool.
Server staff is attentive and quick. As soon ad the salsa or drink is empty it seems like they're already on it. Friendly vibes and generally easy to get along with.
There is an outdoor seating section as well as two bars. They keep the place fairly clean including bathrooms. Overall it's a casual 5 star experience. Will be back as usual.
Oh, and it's also nice how they're open later than almost every other place!
Our server Ashley M was amazing. So attentive and quick to get our drinks and food out to us. Great vibe in this place and even better margaritas. Will def be back and recommend this place to everyone. Be sure to ask for Ashley
First time eating here and it is a unique experience. Ordering is done by picking your order like some sushi restaurants. You had a choice of brunch tacos,pre-built.taco combinations or build your own.
Food came out quick and it was really good.
