Ordered a 14” extra thin crust pizza. What I got was a burnt nasty pizza! When I called to tell them that I’ll bring the pizza back and would like my money back because I cannot eat it. The cheese pepperoni everything is burnt, he tried telling me well did you read the description it says it stays in the oven longer to get extra crispy. I told him the extra crispy is fine but it being beyond burnt isn’t okay. He told me well you can bring it up and I can look at it but I can’t guarantee a refund if it’s the way we cook it. So I didn’t even waste my time driving all the way back because I could tell he didn’t want to refund me and I checked online again and they might want to fix it because nowhere does it say in the menu you order from online under Nicky’s pizza that it’s cooked longer. It says extra crispy with light cheese and ingredients!! I tried to eat a piece but it was absolutely nasty my dogs wouldn’t even eat it. $27 down the drain. Horrible food, horrible customer service.
Absolutely love this location. Always excellent service and the food is consistently delicious. Enjoyed Spinach Artichoke dip which has a great kick of heat. The Chicken Piccata is sensational. It comes with Angel Hair and mixed veggies, but they are so good about customization to the customer. Broasted Chicken was cooked to perfection. They do a great French Martini and a dirty Martini with blue cheese olives. The atmosphere is very lively but not too loud to hold a conversation. Never know who you will run into. Major blast from the past last night. Always a great time.
This was very delicious pizza. We ordered take out. The cashier was very nice and accommodating. I will definitely go back. Their slice of lemon cake was big and delicious.
I recently enjoyed another wonderful meal at Barraco's Pizza, where I was delighted by their accommodating staff, delicious gluten-free pizza, and relaxing atmosphere. The crust was perfectly crispy yet chewy, topped with flavorful ingredients. I highly recommend Barraco's for a fantastic dining experience or night out at the bar.
I actually went here because of a bad review and not because of a good one. The review showed the pizza being overdone and ruined and they were so upset but when I saw the picture I saw a beautifully cooked pizza. I was not disappointed and I would gladly go back for more.
Absolutely horrible I ordered the fish combo and received a piece of fish the size of my finger. The breading was half cooked and falling off. The Italian fries were so soggy and tasted like grease. The chicken Alfredo was tasteless and the woman I spoke to on the phone when I called about the food hung up on me after I agreed to have the food replaced. I will be going tomorrow to speak with someone regarding the service and the disrespectful treatment I received when I called to complain about the food. Also the mac and cheese was dry as a bone. The manager tried to tell me it was the containers, but there is no way a piece of fish could shrink to the size of my finger. Also undercooked it looked like they just rolled it in breading and sent it out. I do have to say the pizza was good. Sorry I forgot to add that the cream of chicken soup was like water and tasteless.
Barraco's Pizza is terrific. The restaurant is very welcoming. The bar is clean and vibrant. Staff is great. Food is tasty. The deep dish is some of the finest in Chicago.
One concern: Nick or Danielle has to figure out a better online system. They were using some "grubhub" system which always seemed to lead to a spam page. It was very difficult to place an online order.
Now they are using an app called "slice." This is complete garbage. The app crashes all the time. My card gets authorized but then the order gets canceled. It's trash.
There are lots of good people out here that can build Barraco's an application that works. Why work with apps that also serve competitors? Create your own app. It's not that hard.
This is a wonderful family restaurant and the bar is plenty nice too. I highly recommend the deep dish pizza. It’s amazing. The wings are delicious and the salads are huge. On the bar side, drinks are cold and the TVs are large. Great spot.
