Best WLM Reviews
Great little pub and grill. Good selection of beer, excellent burger and a varied menu. Friendly atmosphere and fun decor.Don't pass this one by.
Parking is large, great for a Friday or Saturday crowd.
Atmosphere is chill, great staff and delicious food!
My husband and I have come here twice now and have not been disappointed.
We started off with the fried mushrooms which were on spot! The breading did not fall off nor was it too thick. The mushroom was not at all mushy, a nice delicious texture.
We split the haddock wrap which was huge! You are definitely getting a bang for your buck here. The fish was cooked well and the wrap had just enough sauce that it did not make anything soggy.
We will be back for sure!
It's a small place, not very welcoming. Took 10 mins and us asking if we can get a drink for our server to come take the order, said they were busy and lots of ppl just came in but not all the tables were full.
Food was OK. I had a burrito that was decent, chicken was a bit overcooked and dried out but still decent overall. The pineapple was delicious on it. The whole belly clams were not cooked and had white stuff coming out so you know they are raw, they took them back no issue and said they were disgusting so not sure why they would even serve that. Burger was decent too. Fried mushrooms were over cooked. Onion rings were too and cold so figure that one out if they are busy ???? ????
Service was not friendly and seems like more of a locals place and that's the ones that get better Service.
I wouldn't go back
I would have given it more than 3 stars except they're a little inconsistent. We have been there several times and my wife usually orders the fish tacos as that is her preference. We don't eat takeout a lot because it's usually too salty. The Barnhouse offers the fish blackened or broiled, she tried both and determined the broiled is less salty so that's how she orders it. Today, however, the fish was so salty she couldn't even eat it. She asked me to taste it and I could not believe how much salt there was. They were also skimpy on the fish today which normally is not the case. We had ordered it to go otherwise I would have said something. The food is usually quite good and the service is always good but after today we will be reluctant to return.
We stopped here for lunch as we were passing through. My wife had wings and I tried the clam chowder. We shared an order of Chili Fries. The portions were generous. The Chowder was excellent. It had a nice balance of meat and vegtable. The flavors blended well. Good for a chilly day like it was. The appetizer was awesome, but way to much for two. It had an authentic house made chili, melted cheese, and browed ground beef over golden fries. The wings were awesome. Crispy outside, moist and flavorful inside. The breading was dark. I'm not sure exactly what was in it, but the flavor was perfect with the sauce and stayed crispy. The Service was excellent as well. The Restaurant itself has a great story and the Country Decor is both Creative and well accomplished. Check them out on maps and go to their website. There is a video showing how the barn was converted. ???? If were back in the area, we will definitely return to try more of the menu.
Visited today and were seated right away. We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip appetizer and it and the accompanying fried bread was terrific. We ordered fish and chips and i had a garden burrito that has to be one of the best burritos my lips have ever tasted, better than any meat based burrito i have ever had. The fish and chips serving was enormous and the fries were perfectly oily and the fish was perfectly breaded. The service was friendly and attentive. Our new lunch destination.
Excellent food and service - highly recommend the blackened "Mad Haddock" sandwich! Everyone was super friendly. Glad we stopped in. We'll be back!
Really pleasant experience...Great patio area, good service, and really good food. Shared a chicken quesadilla which was enough for two and a side of onion rings. Food was excellent, will be back! Mens room had some unique decor!
