Fantastic location. Very very useful for GTech kids . There is a Starbucks inside too. Parking is a little bit of issue and is paid . It’s about 1$ an hour . Issue is getting a parking close to Barnes and nobles .
Lots and lots of GT merchandise .. but it is a bit expensive than the Merchandise store inside the college . There are some discounts in some products but it’s still expensive . A hoodie costs about 50$ and the adidas ones were 80-120$ . Tshirts were also a bit expensive. Good customer service . Overall a good experience for students and kids .
Nice bookstore in Georgia Tech campus. It has a wide selection of popular books. We bought children books. Plus, there is a Starbucks inside, so you can read and study while drinking your coffee.
The prices are high but the shop is well categorized. They have a great selection of Georgia Tech T-shirts, hoodies and glasses. The location is very ideal inside the midtown. Whenever you get tired of shopping in this big store, you can get hot or cold beverages inside. Highly recommended.
At first I was skeptical that their selection of books would only be targeted to the Georgia Tech students, but they had a much broader selection than I imagined. Even children’s books which was perfect as I was shopping for holiday gifts. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back to this location.
I enjoyed my time at B&N Atlanta, and bought a couple of Star Wars books (the Mandalorian collection)- since they have a really cool variety of Sci-Fi and sports theme based literature. Let's say the bookshop is OK, in comparison to the one on 5th Avenue in NYC. The staff are very kind and helpful, but since this is a 2 floor bookstore, you will sometimes have a small adventure to find them. There's a Starbucks caffe bar and a Georgia Tech sportshop inside the B&N store, which is convenient. All in all, I was happy to have been and shopped there.
Huge selection of Georgia Tech merch, including bee plushes and dog toys. Surprised to find dorm room furniture and essentials as well, such as hangers, hampers, cubbies, tables, etc.
I enjoyed browsing this beautiful store. They have a large selection of clothing, toys, caps, books, electronics, school supplies, groceries, etc. I just wish they had a bigger selection of books. FYI, they do not accept cash at the register.
My recent experiences at the Georgia Tech Bookstore have left me deeply disappointed due to the disrespectful treatment I received from the staff, particularly the manager. On two separate occasions, I encountered unwarranted hostility and surveillance that made my visits to the store uncomfortable and unpleasant.
During my first visit, I expressed interest in a pair of shoes that were being shown to me by an employee behind the counter. To my surprise, the African American manager intervened abruptly and reprimanded the employee for showing me the shoes, asserting that I should not have been given access to them. This was perplexing to me, as the shoes were behind the counter and the only way for me to view them was through the assistance of the employee.
Following this incident, I was subjected to surveillance by security guards as I moved throughout the store. Feeling unfairly targeted, I approached the manager to address the situation and provide evidence of my purchases, hoping to clarify that my intentions were simply to inquire about the shoes. Despite my efforts to explain the situation, the manager denied any wrongdoing and dismissed my concerns, leaving me feeling disrespected and unheard.
Furthermore, the manager's overall demeanor and lack of customer-friendly behavior have consistently contributed to a negative atmosphere within the store. His apparent disdain for customers and unwillingness to engage in constructive dialogue have created an unwelcoming environment, tarnishing the overall shopping experience at the Georgia Tech Bookstore.
In conclusion, my encounters with the staff, particularly the manager, have been marred by unwarranted hostility, unjust surveillance, and a lack of professionalism. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, and I am disheartened by the disappointing service provided by the management of the Georgia Tech Bookstore. If I could rate them any lower I would due the service I was given.
