My dining experience was indeed pleasing. The food was notably delicious, particularly the succulent ribs falling easily off the bone, comforting mac cheese, and tantalizing beans. The flavors were perfectly balanced, giving a delightful dining engagement. Further enhancing my visit was a pleasant conversation with Mr. Coop. The restaurants' attention to detail extended also to their top-notch customer service. This dining spot is a wonderful find.
This was my first time trying them so I got something simple. But the chicken cheese fries were very good. I will most definitely be returning to try other items off the menu. I did not rate the atmosphere as I placed an order online for pick up.
Went here following the Google reviews and we were not disappointed. Truly a hidden gem in Huntsville-Madison! Home-cooked flavors beat the large chains with a KO! It was all great. But my youngest son decimated the fried okra eating it in handfuls! I tried four total pieces and they were delicious, the dry-rub ribs were falling off of the bone and was perfectly accentuated with three accompanying sauces! The pulled pork was tender and flavorful but with the additional sauce was out of this world good! Mac and cheese… nothing left and I cannot give it an honest review because it was gone before I could taste it. There will definitely be a next time! Deserts were all gone - we were unable to purchase any. Again, NEXT TIME! Maybe I will get there when they open! Great job BBQ HEAVEN! You truly live up to your name! 6 stars!
This is your hometown hole in the wall barbecue joint that always serves it up hot and delicious. The portions are big and prices very reasonable! The gentlemen who run the place are really nice, too. You've got to check this place out!!
This will be our “Thomas Pit” go to. Ordered for first time and was so impressed with ribs, chicken pork catfish and okra. Family visiting from NY and wanted them to experience true Southern BBQ. Plus prefer to support a local business and very reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be back. Out of Mac and cheese so will try next time.
It looks like a mom & pop operation, because it is. The food was *so* good. The prices were so low, I felt like I was doing something wrong. The service was great. They made certain I was good and able to enjoy my meal. There's not a ton of space inside, and parking is very limited. I can say with absolute certainty, I'll be back here as often as I can be.
UPDATE 12/2/2022 Same great food with fall off the bone pork, handmade potato salad, and the worlds best fried okra! Huntsville's real hidden gem!
ORIGINAL POST: 5 Stars does not do this restaurant justice! Very laid back setting, providing some delicious fall off the bone BBQ ribs. Sides are equally as good. No hype here just good food at a very fair price point! I had not been in this area for some time and just stumbled upon it and I'm glad I did. Owner operator is on hand and is very personable. Super health inspection rating and clean facilities as well. I certainly will be back!
Great food with good sauces and recommendations from staff. Came in for a quick lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Only downside was no cornbread. Pulled pork was quite good as were the beans.
