Adorable restaurant with great food and nice atmosphere! Good spot for breakfast in Lawrence.
Barb's Corner Kitchen is an absolute culinary treasure that I recently had the pleasure of experiencing. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of outstanding. The menu offers a diverse range of dishes, and each one I tried was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. It's evident that the chefs here are passionate about their craft and use high-quality ingredients to create memorable meals. The flavors were both comforting and innovative, catering to a variety of tastes.
The staff at Barb's Corner Kitchen were not only attentive but also incredibly friendly. Their warm hospitality added to the overall charm of the place. They were well-versed in the menu and happy to provide recommendations, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
What makes Barb's Corner Kitchen truly special is its commitment to serving excellent food in a welcoming environment. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or even solo, this is the kind of place where you can savor great food and create lasting memories. I highly recommend paying a visit to Barb's Corner Kitchen – it's a culinary journey you won't want to miss!
You'll find out if you go here enough. The food is great, there is no leadership.
The owner sits outside and watches Fox news while his staff struggles then tells servers "they're killing him" when he could easily jump in and help.
Slow service, no check on refills. I'll never go back. I used to love this place.
Went there after work today hoping for some good diner food. The place is really cute. Alittle crowded but cute. Nice atmosphere and friendly people. But I do have to say I got the soup. Hoping for a nice bowl of chicken noodle soup. It was terrible. Worst soup ive ever eaten. It tasted like water with noodles and carrots and very little small pieces of chicken. I couldn’t even stomach to eat it. I left hungry. And it was so hot in there. They definitely need to improve the temperature inside and also the quality of the food. Its very bland and flavorless no matter what ive tried. And ive been there several times. Think im gonna stop going. There just isn’t any good food there.
It was my first time here, the place had a few patrons at the time . We sat in the main room and ordered a simple breakfast, the service was very slow for a place not busy. They were fully staffed in the kitchen yet It took 45 minutes just to get our food ,in that time we were never checked on, offered a refill or even acknowledged after we ordered. After waiting almost a hour my waffle was ice cold and it matched the coffee I had. I would of told her it was cold but she never came back, yet was standing bagging silverware 4 feet from out table. Not a good first impression.
This place was great and I will definitely go here again when I want a full breakfast.
If you're looking for an "elegant", "trendy" or "cutesy" place...this is not for you. This is a real, down home diner with all the friendly characters, shaky tables, and quirks.
I ordered "the kitchen sink omelette" thinking that may include just all the usual fillings. I then attempted to order 2 more eggs and a side of home fries because I've never been to a place where I filled up on one breakfast meal. The server made sure I knew the omelette was actually a 4 egg omelette and already came with home fires....and I'm glad she did! I was full and satisfied with no extras.. which hasn't happened in awhile.
Always had a full cup of coffee, food delivered fast (especially for 4 meals!), prices were so cheap! and tasted amazing.
I love this place !!! I has a true mom and pop feel. The food is good but simple and the waitstaff is very nice. The food is very comparable to your mom or grandma making you a meal ... simply, home cooked but good! The only down side is that usually really busy on the weekend and you have to seat yourself.
Unassuming little place in hipster Lawrenceville. Delicious diner food! Great breakfast sandwich. Homefries are the real deal. Nice service. All around excellent, thank you!
