The place has everything going for it. Food great. Pesto pasta awesome. Ambience near perfect. Service on point. Being an upscale vegan place this place does most things right. 20 percent service charge added to all order. That did surprise us but it was what we would have tipped anyway.
Recently celebrated my birthday at Bar Vegan with my family, and it was a blast! Marcus was our server and he was fabulous! The food was outstanding - the eggrolls, Philly, and Brussels were huge hits at our table. The atmosphere was perfect for a celebration, and the staff made sure we had a fantastic time. Bar Vegan is a top-notch choice for any special occasion or just a night out. We'll definitely be back! ????????????️
Honestly, a little excessively loud music. It could have been a vibe without making your head hurt. It was really fun music and a DJ, but I didn't feel I should have had to wear my loop earplugs and not hear my partner or waitress talking to me.
HOWEVER, the food absolutely blew me away. As someone with newly developed allergies, I miss food like cheese, on my favorite cheesesteak. My cheesesteak with the plant based cheese, was phenomenal. My partner, who doesn't have allergies got the one night stand and loved it. Everything is perfectly seasoned and so delicious. Never have we had such great vegan dishes.
It did take about a half hour for our food to come out, but it was worth the wait.
First to start upon arrival, I could hear the music that they had playing and knew atmosphere was just right. I had made a reservation and arrived a little too early to be seated, I was hating outside the club because I couldn’t get in! But it’s OK because I only had to wait like 15 minutes. We were escorted to our seats, and our waitress came right after! She was very attentive and let us know what was the best on the menu. They have a variety size menu. We ordered the creamy pesto Pasta with chicken and, shrimp ! It was cooked fresh to order, and the flavors were Extravagant! We also ordered appetizers that were brought before the dish which were the fried green tomatoes and maple glazed brussels sprouts. It’s a must that You ordered these! Green tomatoes had a nice crust and some kind of cucumber topping on top of it with a sauce that was so succulent it matched well. The maple glaze brussels sprouts left me speechless; That was the first time I ever had brussels sprouts, and I’m still thinking about them! They also have a large drink menu and people don’t drink alcohol. They also have a menu for you guys as well. We ordered from non-alcoholic mixes were spectacular! To end the night night we ordered dessert, I don’t even know how I was able to get half of The dessert down. We ordered the sweet potato bread pudding and peach cobbler with ice cream! Yummmmm. It was like an orgqsm in your mouth! All in all ,it was the best place to be ! And of course it’s black owned!
Cocktails are great, food is good. My Boneless Lemon Pepper Chickn Wingz were very salty but the Cheezesteak Eggrollz were really good. Our server was excellent.
The ambiance is perfect to relax after a long day of work. The food was so tasty. I had thee fried green tomatoes and onion ring appetizers. The drinks were awesome! Dat Fire was my favorite. The service was swift and our server, Marcus, was extremely helpful.
Food and drinks delightful, fast and friendly service. It was bouncing but we visited on a Saturday night. Music was loud but good- perhaps not the right spot if you want a quiet night, but better if you want to eat good and dance bad!

Set In a brilliant location Bar Vegan is surrounded with other bars and restaurants and provides a great location for a chilled night out.
Food and service were really good with an excellent selection of food and drinks.
Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Only reason I couldn't give the place 5 stars was due to the price, over $250 dollars for street food and drinks which is on the high side price wise based upon the other 5 states visited during our trip at other vegan restaurants. Saying this I would happily pay to eat here again.
