Bad Louie was a fantastic experience. I was visiting some friends in the area and we stopped here for a few drinks and appetizers to share. The food was hot and fresh from the kitchen. Our server was amazing and super friendly. The atmosphere of the bar is very casual and fun. We were sat in a large booth, but even the seats at the bar looked great. We really enjoyed our time here.
Drinks were great! Smores martini was lovely, best drink I've had in a minute, and the Grand Lemon Drop was very well made and strong without being overbearing. The food was good during the day but just decent during the late night menu, not a huge shock. The ultimate grilled cheese was good, but not good enough to warrant another trip down, and the same goes for the boneless wings, which had too much sauce. May come back for the drinks another day.
Forget the unpleasant brunette bartender/waitress. Forget the ice cold, bland, overpriced food. Forget the hour wait it took to get a Louie burger to go. THIS PLACE GAVE MY ENTIRE FAMILY SEVERE FOOD POISONING!! I have never been so sick in my life!!! You all should be absolutely ashamed and shut down. This will be reported. Do not eat here unless you wanna pay dearly. READ for yourself the recent reviews of how filthy the place is and you’ll see the trend. Sadly we did not prior to patronizing this sad excuse of a bar.
For one walk in they see chill and it takes a while then you have a waiter. There’s literally sitting down and talking and it’s not paying attention doesn’t ask if everything k , I ordered chicken nachos and it didn’t have only but 4 pieces of chicken well shredded chicken the I ask for extra and they bring out burnt chicken. Unbelievable ????That was the dish when I ask for more chicken . You could see the brunt chicken SUCKS Then they are no toilet paper in the women restroom. WOW so many WOWS I will not come here
We visited Bar Louie around 11pm on a Saturday night. It was our first time at this location but we had previously visited a location in Illinois. This location had a totally different vibe. In Illinois, it was more laid back and there was great music playing. But here…it felt more upscale (not a bad thing, but it wasn’t what we were looking for at the time). Also, the music was very low and subtle. Several of us ordered the Wild Berry Margarita. It was bitter and wasn’t good at all but we did enjoy the food! I had the All-Nighter which I thought was a breakfast sandwich. The description didn’t say anything about it being a burger so imagine my surprise when I got a burger with an egg and bacon on it. It was really good though! The fries were clearly old and stale (looked like they had been sitting for hours). I asked the server for new fries and the new fries were really good! Overall, we had a decent experience minus the drinks and the old fries.
Wait staff was very slow less than mediocre got one order wrong, and never refilled our glasses, only saw him at our table one time when he dropped the food off. The Cajun pasta was very Bland nothing spicy about it nothing New Orleans. This was my first time there and probably my last very disappointed in service and the quality of the food.
This place needs the Health Inspection to pay them a visit and shut them down! My entire family has food poisoning thanks to them! The food was cold and tasted awful. We all got sick and have been for days! You should be ashamed! Someone pregnant or immunocompromised could have eaten your tainted food and gotten gravely ill! Shame Shame on you!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!
I ordered the honey chicken sandwich and it wasn't good at all. First of all, the chicken itself was very small and barely had any meat on it. Secondly, it was over fried so it was kind of burnt. The meat itself was very tough and dry. The flavor combination of the pickles with the honey and chicken just didn't work well at all. The tater tots were okay and the pretzel bites with cheese sauce were good. Unfortunately the chicken sandwich was just so bad. It kind of ruined the whole experience. I don't really believe they deserve the rating they currently hold.
