They are known for handmade dumplings. However, those handmade ones taste NO difference than those frozen dumplings you can get in any Asian market for only 1/3 price.
If you order a pickup, you are not allowed to dine in, which is ridiculous because this is a self-helped order restaurant and there is no service to be provided.
The atmosphere is mid. Many McDonalds are better and cleaner than this.
Overall, priced food, normal taste, bad service and below average environment.
Wouldn’t recommend.
Went here for the first time to get lunch and it was such a wonderful experience! We got the pork baozi, pork & green onion dumplings, scallion sauce noodles, and mandarin soda. The sauce options were amazing, the lady helping us was so kind, and the atmosphere was lovely. This might be my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Greater Lafayette ????❤️
Absolutely amazing dumplings. We got the Chive & Pork Dumplings as well as the Capsella Plant & Pork. Both were fantastic and full of flavor. You could taste the love that went into them and everything was very fresh. We also tried three of the condiments, and all were very good. I would highly recommend the homemade chili oil, it paired extremely well with the dumplings. It is not as spicy as it looks, so don’t be afraid to try it. Will definitely be back to try some different kinds of dumplings!
Just delicious. Ordered Dan Dan noodles and dumplings and they were so flavorful. New to the area and a bit hard to find but once we were oriented we parked and picked up our to-go order. A great value for our money. Polite and helpful on the phone and in the restaurant. We will be back.
Never been and wanted to try the handmade dumplings. Asked the cashier what they suggested which included the beef and scallion, so got 8 pieces of that. Then went ahead and ordered the pork and cabbage, additionally ordered their beef noodle soup. Overall alright. The dumplings tasted pretty average, but still good. The soup, could have more flavor, broth was a bit bland but their egg was nice and salty so I appreciated that and that helped to bring more flavor.
I did dine in. I will add it’s self serve, so the sauce, water, etc you get yourself. It kind of felt old inside but the red covers on all the seats kind of gave and felt nostalgic.
I would say stick to the dumplings here, and if you are craving some dumplings Bao dumplings is fine to go to. Thank you :)
Someone said in the reviews that the dumplings here taste no different from frozen ones you can get from a store. I beg to differ. These are AWESOME and this is coming from a Taiwanese who’ve had dumplings growing up in Taiwan. The chili oil is a must have too!
Fresh and delicious dumplings! The staff was very friendly and it was fast for being handmade. Highly recommend!????
Pretty good Chinese food. Dumplings are obviously their main thing and they do them pretty good. They were my favorite part of the meal. The noodles were decent but not my favorite. I only knocked one star because the noodles weren’t the greatest. Not bad, but not super amazing.
