I can’t believe I have never heard of this amazing place until today! The service is amazing and the food is perfect. The woman running the place is very friendly and I will be returning. I recommend the miso ramen. It was made perfectly.
An unassuming little hole in the wall in a busy shopping center, Banzai has been serving up the most authentic and best quality sushi in Mobile since before sushi was cool. My family has been coming here for over twenty-five years and it is still as good as when they first opened. Always fresh and delicious!
Oh this place is heavenly! This is not southernized sushi by a long shot. The rolls are small but beyond delicious. Anyone with any liking of Japanese cuisine should immediately go here. They don't have a large menu but there's no need with the quality of the food. Their gyudon is too die for.
A small Japanese place with solid sushi and ramen plates, awesome service, and a nice, chill atmosphere. Excellent for late-night meets with friends.
Really great food. This is definitely a “hole in the wall” kind of place. It’s so cute and quaint. The food is amazing. It’s the “Japanese Grandma” cooking dinner experience. It’s not going to be your Americanized Japanese food. The rolls are not flooded with rice and the kind I like to eat “as is” versus drenched in sauce. The ramen is my fave by far. Highly recommend.

Great service. Top notch rolls. Smaller than average but fresh and tasty. Limited menu but what they have is very good. Will definitely be back. Fits the “hole in the wall” restaurant description.
This is the best sushi I have had of all the places I have tried. The rice is so good we fight over the individual grains left on the plate. The house salad has the most amazing dressing. Price is reasonable for top of the line food. Have been a patron for many years now and can honestly say I have never had a bad experience, or bad food.
Open Tuesday thru Saturday from 5:30 PM until 9:30ish, depending on customers. Small but cozy with excellent service and atmosphere.
