Food was tasty, but heavily salted. If you have blood pressure issues this is not the place to dine. There’s no inside for eating. It’s all external, This is ok on a nice low 80’s day, with a slight breeze, if you don’t mind the traffic noise.
The eating area is covered and shaded. Lots of local patrons. The price was good comparatively. The menu has changed from the picture posted menu. They no longer have the sea food platter. They now offer fish dinners and sandwiches (with available sides. The fish was a little thin. Also, I asked for Catfish and received Pollack, I noticed after eating a good chunk, and then examining the fish. I didn’t complain due to the taste and the price point did not change. The hush puppies were the smallest that I’ve ever seen.
. The eating area and parking lot were relatively clear of debris. For a walk up restaurant, with a lower price, if was decent.
The biggest fish sandwich you have ever seen. It was delicious without a bad fish taste and not greasy. The catish diner was also very good. Double bacon cheese burger was huge and delicious. I ALMOST LOST MY FOOT IN THE ROTTEN BATHROOM FLOOR.
We went here because I was told they have the best fish sandwiches. I'm not a big fish fan but the wife is.
The place is the prime example of a greasy spoon but with out door seating only. Order at the window, pick up at other window and have a seat on picnic bench. Not a problem.
I Order the double bacon burger with fried mushrooms and she the aforementioned fish sandwich and fries. She ate the fries and a third of the fish sandwich and then chucked it. Too dry and too fishy was the verdict. My double bacon burger had no bacon. The patties were cooked appropriately but they should rename it to the Soggy Bottom boy. From the window to the picnic table twenty feet away, the bottom bun was mush. I can only imagine the state if I drove home before eating.
The sweet tea my wife said wast perfect. Of course, she's from Covington Kentucky so only a mile removed from being a Yankee. My southern palate asked if Bidenomics has created a sugar shortage.
Oh, the mushrooms were standard Sysco variety.
This is one of those hidden gems! Definitely a local favorite. You must try the “Famous Fish Sandwich”! That’s what they are known for. I swear they pack about two whole fish in each sandwich!!!! It was so big, I had to open up the sandwich and eat half the fish out just so I could get my mouth around it. A must-try! I’m on my second visit of the weekend. This time I did the foot long hotdog. It was equally as good. I will be back!
I just went here for 2 famous fish sandwiches and a large fruit punch just to be pushed to the side 3 people were served ahead of me a were to by the lady in the window passing out orders “ here your order nice and fresh “ when she finally called my number she was very rude and my food was not fresh so she didn’t bother telling me it was . I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome the lady who took my order was nice but I don’t think black / African American people are wanted nor welcome here oh yeah and the fruit punch was awful food was cold and old this is the second time this has happened and the last wish I could speak with the owners.I would definitely recommend you use cash in case you need an immediate refund.
One of my most favorite places to eat. I've had multiple menu items the fish sandwich is so good and I don't usually like seafood much. The Philly Steak ???? The Best!!! Food is great and the staff is wonderful. Always have a great experience coming here! ????
So very good. We traveled 31 minutes as Bantam came highly recommended. It didn't disappoint! We loved it and will return.
One of our friends said we're eating lunch here, so of course we did. All I can say is it did not disappoint one bit. The staff was super friendly, and the food was outstanding. I don't think I have ever had a real fish sandwich the way this was. Omgosh, if you live in the area, you are blessed and lucky. If you're traveling and visiting, don't miss your chance for an awesome fish sandwich.
