Finally decided to stop in and try the food and it was a waste of time and money. First of all, I asked my waitress if the wings were cook to order and she replied yes. That was a lie, I'm sure they were reheated. The wings arr breaded which would've been great if they weren't so tiny and salt. The handful of fries were lukewarm. The onion blossom was decent although it looked like it was time for the grease to be changed. My daughter's chicken tenders were fresh and tiny, but they did give her a decent amount of them.
Wow! Just wow! So since my wife and I moved to the Talladega area 18 months ago we have been looking for a spot that reminded us of the food in Fort Myers Florida, which had a BUNCH of great places to dine. Well, we found it! Bandits Bar and Grill in Sylacauga was truly a great dining experience for a sports bar! The motif in this place was above the bar here in this area. Very clean, very slick, pool tables, stage for live music, outdoor seating with bags and other things...just a great sports bar! So now, about service. Another home run! We sat ourselves and had a waitress come take our drink order in moments. When she brought our drinks back we told her we were first timers and asked what their special was. She gave us a tour of the menu, started with appetizers, went to sandwiches and finished with the entrees. They smoke turkey breast daily and she recommended it. Well, our next waitress, Sidney, took our orders. My wife got a lunch special, pulled pork BBQ and two sides, fries and baked beans, for $13.99 and I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries for the same, $13.99. So I asked Sidney to see if the Chef, Chef Ethan, would get me a slice of the fresh smoked turkey breast, just to try the house specialty. I said she could charge me if needed. Well, chef sent out a small bowl filled with the smoked turkey and WOW....It was amazing! Moist, tender and just the right amount of smoke for no charge! In conclusion, this will now be our go to spot for a lunch or nice dinner and when family comes in town we will share Bandits with all of them! Well done guys and gals! A big thumbs up!
We had burgers and tenders and they were delicious. The music was fantastic! Our waitress was so sweet and very attentive. The restaurant was clean and ran very well. We will definitely come back when we pass through town again. Highly recommend!
So good. Our server was amazing. I had the pulled pork plate with a baked sweet potato done to perfection. My sister had the bison burger and said it was the best. My boyfriend said it was the best catfish he'd ever eaten. I would give 10 stars if I could.
Been in Alabama for 1 1/2 yrs. From Texas. Stopped in to Bandits for first time. Was highly impressed with their ribeye steak. I am very spoiled by Texas beef. Have yet to find anything close to the taste of Texas food. Thank you Bandits for giving me a taste of home. Hubby and I will definitely be back. Service was awesome too.
Great service! Restaurant is everything you would want from a bar n grill. Fried pickles are chips but they were cooked perfectly. I ordered a steak, rare. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection! Definitely will be going back.
The alligator bites were chewy! The one plus was the batter it was fried in. The chicken tenders were dry, I had the 8 oz New York strip suppose to be medium rare, it was medium But the worst part is it was so over seasoned I could barely eat any! They used SALT heavily! I also added 5 grilled shrimp. They were over seasoned too & dry! My husband got 10 oz rib eye medium it too was a bit over seasoned but def not as bad as my NYS! He too got the 5 added grilled shrimp & they were just as bad as mine! On top of all that it was Expensive!!!! We had no alcohol beverages or desserts & the bill before tip was 108.& change? In Syoacauaga! It wasn’t fine dining! It was casual dinning. We don’t/wont recommend & we won’t be back.
We went in the other night and our waitress automatically made us feel welcome and they were actually busy, so for her to take time to be personal, funny, prompt, and respectful means a lot to us when we go out. The food. Uh huh. I love veggies so I recommend fried mushrooms and cauliflower bites. YummY. He loves meat, lol & got wings of course. I was skeptical on the fish,, and d@mn I was surprised. His steak was on point too. Thank you Libbie for an amazing night. We'll be back & hope you are there. When do you work? (:
