Best WLM Reviews

Ballydoyle is a spacious Irish pub where they have good food and great drinks. We had their Black Velvet (half Guinness and half Magners) and it was poured perfectly by the bartender. They have a spacious bar as well as lots of seating for family friendly tables. We sat at the bar and received great service from the bartender. Their Ruben and fries were great. Not sure that we would order the fish and chips again, but would definitely come back to try more.
When you come here, you must try the cream of potato soup! Anything with potatoes is beyond delicious, but the cream of potato soup tasted like childhood. The naturally have a great beer selection as well!
YUM!! So good! We had the Irish chips. That’s a mountain of chips! He had a sausage platter. I had corned beef. His hot toddy was good. I would come here again! They do a lot of live music.
We had corn beef and cabbage dinner. It was delicious.
Had a lovely time at Ballydoyle Downers Grove! The trivia made the energy in the bar exciting and we had such a nice time. Jeffrey behind the bar suggested the Ballydip burger which was a GREAT move! We will definitely be coming back here and happy to have a fun neighborhood pub :)
Went there on a Saturday night to see Scarlet Mountain. Sean M was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we could see the band while we ate. He was accommodating to let us leave the table and come back throughout the night. He was quick with our food and quicker with our drinks. The food was amazing… Shepherds Pie and Corned Beef Bites!!
I have nothing positive to say about this restaurant. The table was dirty. The waitress was slow. Painfully slow. She left dirty plates on the table. We had to find our own carry out container so we could leave. The music was rap music from the 90s? Not at all what you would expect for an Irish Pub themed restaurant. Tacky.
The fish and chips was literally one bite of fish wrapped in an astronomical amount of breading to make it look larger. I couldn't wait to leave. We will never be back. I feel like we were being punished for something.
We spent more time waiting for our waitress than anything else. This restaurant has no redeeming qualities.
Stopped here for some drinks and appetizers. I was super pleased with everything! The Arnold Palmer (lemonade and iced tea) was so refreshing and the pink drink reminded me of the Starbucks drink but with alcohol, extremely tasty. I fell in love with the Caprese Flatbread. It had so much flavor from the cheeses and the cherry tomatoes burst into your mouth. The chicken wings also hit the spot, perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of sauce. Food was a bit pricey being appetizers, but well worth it. I also liked the fact that my dog was able to join us since we sat down in the patio section.
