An interesting ancient site... moved to accommodate a road! Beautiful parkland, golf and hotel. Great walks in the forest.

Really disappointed with this Fife council could have made more of a feature plus it had been moved from its original position

I loved the stone circle, although it is disappointing that it had been moved. Nevertheless, I felt moved by the sacredness of the place and thought the atmosphere had been preserved, although I missed knowing that it had been exactly aligned to the stars. There is no parking, but we found parking in the town next to it.

A magical place with a strong atmosphere - yet just yards from main road & new housing. A walk through surrounding woods along the burn completes the enjoyable experience

Lovely, tactile piece of history. Just a shame that it's not in the original location, but I don't think it could be helped.

Interesting to see a ancient stone circle situated in a park nice walk through leafy lanes lots of birds to see and hear all in all a good Sunday afternoon walk with a coffee tea or beer at the end of it at Balbirnie Park golf club

This was a nice place, an ancient stone circle, it was ashame that it had been moved from its original location.

(I 1st learnt about it, via Aubrey Burl's book, A Guide to the Stone Circles of Britain, Ireland and Britanny, Yale University, 2005, page 125).

We walked here from the Balbirnie Caravan Clube site. There is a map in the main estate car park clearly showing the foot paths and stone circle. It is an easy, child friendly walk, past Balbirnie house and golf club to the edge of the estate. It is a small circle just at the edge of the road, behind some houses. There are information boards about the site and picnic tables.
