This has always been our favorite place to eat for our downtown lunches and dinners. Today we decided to sit at the bar and ordered our original taquitos. The food came out pretty fast and while eating a roach comes crawling from the beer taps on the bar top crawling fast to my plate.
It was the most disgusting thing to see while have a mouth full and I spit out my food.
As we told the bartender she brought the manager and he said calmly he would take care of it.
We walked out pretty disgusted.
Bakersfield is a great vibe. The short rib tacos were extremely flavorful. Extensive choices of tequila & drinks at the bar. The reposado was served in a clay cup which was pretty cool. Definitely recommend If you’re cruising down Mass Ave.
Love this place. Been coming here for years. Reminds me of being back home in Chicago. The food is good and the Whiskey & tequila selections are great. Don't miss out on the seasonal cocktails and the shot of the day. The queso is awesome and the tacos are amazing. Try the braised short rib taco, or the al pastor, Baja shrimp or even the fish taco. All of them are awesome.
This cozy spot on Mass Ave serves up authentic Mexican street cuisine like tacos, tortas, taquitos, and more. They also have some delicious craft cocktails and specialty margaritas that complement every bite. Don’t miss their Cranberry Ginger Margarita, it’s their special for the holiday season and we loved it! Also highly recommend the torta and taquitos if you don’t want tacos; they were both excellent.

Bakersfield is an absolute gem for taco lovers! The food is simply outstanding bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions.
Our experience was made even better by the exceptional staff. Our server, Cadence, was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. The manager, Kaleb, also stopped by to check on us, which added a personal touch to our visit.
Overall, Bakersfield exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy some amazing food in a fantastic setting!
The fish tacos were good. The queso was delicious. Honestly, just an average experience. The building was very cool.

Colette served us for the first time last Friday night and she was AMAZING! She was so quick to take our order and bring us our food and drinks. She even brought free shots over to the table in celebration of starting my new job that day! She was the best and I will definitely be back, Colette needs a raise! Give that girl a ✨promotion✨
