Excellent family mechanic shop, one of the best in El Paso! I've been bringing my vehicles here for years and a majority of things Bruce and his crew can do
at a fraction of the price vs getting ripped off from the dealer or scammed from a place on Alameda St.
Other than major engine or transmission rebuilds or wheel alignments, they do it all.
I have a 97 Mustang that I like to keep in pristine shape and maintain as close to a like new/good used condition as possible and will continue to bring it in for them to manage along with my two other
vehicles.
I've taken my car here several times over the past two years for a variety of repairs - from simple oil changes to diagnosing more serious issues. They are reliable, fairly quick workers, and i find the pricing to be reasonable. Owner can be a little gruff, but never outright rude. Don't bring your kids into the little office, as they have photos of scantily clad women in some easily-seen places. As for the services they provide, I'd easily recommend them as reliable "car guys" to take your vehicle to.
Will never return to this place. Took truck for inspection, 4 hours later they call me and said they needed to replace the emergency hand brake or the inspection will not pass. They wanted 350 dollars. I told them that i would get a second opinion. The only thing that needed to be done was to adjust the rear brake drums and the emergency handbrake worked fine., I was charged 15 dollars at a different place to adjust the rear drum brakes.. Bad business.
Bagdon's is hands down the best place in El Paso to get your vehicle inspected. When a shop on Dyer St told me I needed $1K in repairs from them to pass inspection, I went to Bagdon's.
Not only did they pass my vehicle after rigorously over-hauling it, they showed me how other shops trick people into paying for repairs they don't really need. Bruce, his son, and his employees keep it real and offer outstanding service.
