I only came here once awhile ago and we had a group going for the boodle fight. When some of us got there at our reservation time, they had the table partially prepared. They need everyone from our party to arrive, so that they can prepare the whole table. You eat with your hands. It was rice, different kinds of meat and seafood, etc. They also brought us halo halo and like dessert egg rolls (forgot the name). Price per person wasn’t too bad. I left full and satisfied. We found free parking either by the restaurant or one of the side streets. The staff was very nice and attentive.
The staff here is so nice and friendly with explaining the different sauces and menu options. Our group was not familiar with anything on the menu and the staff patiently answered all our questions. We ordered the salo salo platter for 4 people and we all left so satisfied. Food came out very quickly. The presentation was perfect and all the food was cooked and seasoned well. The food is definitely all heavily salted and rich but it balanced so well with the vinegar-based sauces provided. We will definitely come back to try the boodle fight with a larger group
The Batchoy (hope I spelled it correctly) was extremely delicious. My wife is from Iloilo and we looked all over town for it and she says it is very similar to what she has in the Phillipines. I had it and it tasted really good. I also had the chicken (Paav I think) and garlic rice and was delicious. Will definitely be back for sure.
The boodle-boodle caught our eye, and we ordered this festive feast for Mothers Day. It’s proportioned for 5 but there’ll be plenty to share + leftovers. Must order the feast 24 in advance! Absolutely worth it. My mom enjoyed it so much that we came back the next week and I got to try their halo-halo. Love their version, huge portion, also plenty to share. Excellent, kind and attentive service each time. Clean, cozy, colorful environment. No parking lot but street parking in front of the building and around the block is reasonably available.
Came during weekday lunch and it took us a while to get seated despite the place being empty because there was no one in the front of the restaurant.Food also took a long time to come out.
We ordered mini batchoy, grilled pusit (squid), and chicken inasal. The batchoy was such a comforting dish especially on a cold day: hearty, garlicky, and flavorful. Inasal was a bit on the drier side but at least came out steaming hot. Grilled pusit and rice came out cold. I liked the taste of the squid but the stuffed onion was so overwhelming that it made the experience unpleasant. Overall, food was pretty mediocre except for the batchoy soup.
Authentic Filipino dishes. Generous servings. Batchoy is really delicious and they have a vast selection of appetizers and entree. Balut is also available if you're craving for one and the place is spacious with really pretty Filipino fiesta decors. Must visit for Filipinos living in Chicago
When we got there to pick up our order the wait was a little long because no one was watching the front for walk in customers. Though me and my wife are understanding because it was a new restaurant we wanted to try so we cut some slack. But maaaan were we happy we didn’t care about the wait because the lumpia was sooooo good we ate a good amount on the ride home . My kids loved the food for they’re first try of philipino food we called a place and Morton grove lady had the worst phone customer service so I’m very glad we chose to grab take out here amazing flavor ????????????????????????
Their dishes are bursts of flavors, I liked their halo-halo most its very refreshing. I would definitely come again.
